The Amelia home is a 2 bedroom 2.5 bath retreat with sparkling private pool that is only four blocks from the Atlantic Ocean and one block from all the Duval Street entertainment. This is the Key West vacation rental you have been seeking, tucked away in one of the most interesting neighborhoods in the historic district ofOld Town, an ideal location for walking and biking to all the attractions, yet quiet and tranquil making it feel worlds away.

Entering The Amelia Home you are greeted by an open floor plan with living room and dining area, bright colors and Key West décor complete the feel of being in the tropics while large glass doors open to the spacious outside area. Hardwood floors are throughout the first level living areas and pocket sliding glass doors lead to the dining loggia. Through additional sliding glass doors on the side of the home you will find a lush tropical garden that looks into the pergola style orchid house. A half bath is located on the first floor along with a sleeper sofa for extra guests.

This special home features a full beautiful kitchen complete with everything you need to create a your keys cuisine or gourmet meal. Upstairs are two full bedroom suites each with a private bath and ultra comfy bed to ensure a restful night sleep. One bedroom has a king beds and the other two twin beds that can convert to a king.

Custom crown moldings and built-in bookshelves are some of the many fine details that make this a special home. Furnishings include an eclectic international mix of plantation style and antiques, reflecting the diversity of Key West.

Key West is the place to visit the lively nightlife and relax in the historic charm, flamboyance, and conch-style architecture that early Bahamian settlers made famous. It embodies a clash of the past and the present, and every building (including this rental) in Key West reflects this eclectic ambiance!

- Pool heat is not available between 4/1 and 10/31.

- Any reservations 28 days or longer will require additional clean/cleans to be scheduled. Additional payment will be collected and the amount of cleans will depend on the length of your stay.
- All bookings 28 days or longer require a security deposit to be charged after booking.
- This home is on a monthly pest control schedule. The area of Key West is home to many insects such as termites, no-see-ums, and mosquitos. Pest control can not eliminate these insects during the swarming season. You may also encounter geckos, lizards, iguanas, frogs, and chickens during your stay in the area.
- Key West is a resort island where renovation of existing historic properties, new construction, and road repair sometimes occur without forewarning. AvantStay is not liable for any guest inconveniences caused due to construction in the area.
- Please note that if requested, the two twin beds can be converted into one king bed with bedding for a fee of $75. Please ensure you make this request at least 48 hours in advance.
- Please note that max occupancy includes infants.
- Please be advised that documentation may be necessary for ESA/service animals to gain entry.

Pets:
- This home allows pets for a fee. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- We LOVE pets, however- Certain breeds typically have to have an additional owner or HOA approval. If your pet falls under any typical breed restrictions (breed, size, weight) please let us know so that we can confirm!

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce.     The house was great! The only real issue was that the pool was not clean ( it was to green to use). That's why I paid more to have a pool in Key West in August.

    The Amelia House exceeded our expectations! It looked exactly how a Key West house should with exquisite wood finishings, open air flow, and a beautiful pool. The neighborhood is quiet and restaurants, stores, and Duval Street are all in walking distance. My husband, my 81 year-old father and I had the perfect vacation there. We will definitely be back.

    The pictures give a much more favorable impression of the property than real life. Updates and paint are needed to continue to charge a premium price for just an average property. The pool was really an oversized hot tub and I was charged an extra fee to heat it (which it wasn't - swimming at the local beach provided warmer water). In addition, there was some type of company directly next door operating out of a shipping container that made A LOT of noise each morning. Also, there is a parking spot, but you better have a smaller vehicle. I was driving a Traverse and had to park into the bushes on one side to be able to exit the vehicle. I would not stay here again and am disappointed in how much I paid for just an average accommodation.

    Close to walk to everything, house is adorable, clean, good AC, plenty of products to get you off to a good start before finding a grocery store. Would definitely stay again.
