Perfect setup for a family getaway. Hot tub is only for two, but we made it work. Place was clean, neat, orderly and well equipped. Fireplace, views, location and small details were appreciated. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay! The beach was quiet, clean, and beautiful. The ocean view was incredible, especially being able to see the ocean right from the kitchen while cooking. We stayed with one other family and still felt like we had plenty of space. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels, and the place was spotless. It was the perfect weekend getaway to relax and unwind.

We had a great time. There is a lot of space for our group of six.

Great location to the Beach, easy access

The view was amazing….there needs to be more comfortable chairs in the livingroom. 1 person had to sit at the dining room table!! I can’t imagine having 8 people….Having to go upstairs to where the main area was very hard for us as we are older. We tried to figure out the stove to cook….you need directions! The master bathroom shower was hard to figure out….you need directions! There were no pillow cases to put over the pillows that was on the beds!

The house was beautiful, perfect area and so close to the ocean. We loved every minute, full of amenities that we needed after flying not driving. The hot tub was not whay we were expecting from picture but still enjoyed very much.

Amazing view, and easy beach access! Our family (1 year old, 8 year old, husband) really enjoyed the home. It was clean, well stocked, and comfortable. The beach access was easy and safe. There is a cute cafe within walking distance from the house which made for fun breakfast outings.

Great location right on the beach. The two queen rooms and one bathroom are the only things on the downstairs entry level. All else is upstairs.

We love Whale's Tale and are repeat visitors. We are three retired siblings and two spouses, and the Depoe Bay area and Whale's Tale are our favorites. The house is beautiful, and the floor plan suits our needs. The kitchen is well appointed for those who love to cook (me), and the views cannot be beat. A few years back when we had youngsters with us, the playground at Bella Beach was on the itinerary several times a day. Now walking on the beach is a priority. We see whales swimming by occasionally, and enjoy watching the fishing boats going in and out. We will definitely be back again as soon as we can!

Wonderful view of the ocean, beach access one house over, somewhat steep set of stairs with 'resting spot'. The community is beautiful to walk thru, park and playground area were a nice plus. A Chester's grocery about a mile south towards Depot Bay. Very comfortable place. There were no plastic glasses for little hands but everything else was great. Would love to stay here again.

The house was fabulous! Very clean and well kept. View magnificant! Everything I was hoping for! Went with my grandddaughter , husband and two dogs. Easy access to the beach! Will return again!

Great stay. Charming neighborhood, and can't beat the view from the living room. You'll fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. They were very responsive with just one issue (previous renters left dog poop on the deck), but it was comfortable and clean.

Our family really enjoyed this home for our spring break trip! The views from the top floor are absolutely perfect! The house was clean and very well stocked. Two minor things to consider. First, the beds super comfortable, but the pillows are pretty horrendous. We ended up purchasing our own. Obviously, pillows are very subjective to each person, but if you happen to be partial to your own from home and are travelling by car, we would recommend bringing them. Second, the tires on all the bikes were low/flat and there was no pump in the garage. Fortunately, we have a portable one in our car kit and handled that. Hopefully, other guests either have one or the hosts will provide one in the future. Two minor inconveniences that were very solvable in an otherwise great setting and home!

Everything was perfect!

Great home in a nice neighborhood with amazing views and beach access. The house was very comfortable and plenty of space. We loved enjoying the ocean waves from the hot tub. The house was spotless and was well stocked, it’s the first time we have never had to purchase spices and basics for cooking. The fireplace was a great perk after hiking and beach combing on cool rainy days. The home is nicely decorated and you just can’t beat the views. There is a grocery store nearby and a cute little cafe in the neighborhood. Located between Depoe Bay and Lincoln City with many beautiful beach access points nearby. We will definitely return.

This was our 2nd stay at this property. We had a wonderful time - great house, location and no issues.

We loved the view from the living room. We sat in front of the fire with our family including the dog. Absolutely stunning. The kitchen is well stocked and the master bed was quite comfortable. We will come back!

We had a great time. We make this trip e wry year and stay in the same location. We love that we can bring our dogs.

We had a wonderful time at Whale's Tail. Everything we needed was there. Views were amazing!! Place was clean and quiet. The only thing I would say is that we had a hard time figuring out our shower and water temperature. Notes on how to use it would be helpful.

Overall, this was a super cozy and well-located place to stay! The house is comfy, and even better is the view from the porch/west facing windows and the access to the beach!!

Wonderful location, very clean property. Only let down was the hot tub was located on the second story and was quite small.

We had a great stay at the Whales Tale. The location and views are exceptional. Kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed. The beach access is a very short walk which was a huge plus. We did have a couple minor suggestions. The sliding back door and some windows need screens. The toaster needs to be replaced, only one side worked. Overall this is a great place and we would definitely book again.

You will live this place. The quaint community, easy beach access and balcony views make this an ideal place to stay. Great whale watching house. The house is comfortable and very clean and fully stocked and Itrips reservation process is easy. Will go back for future stays.

Nice accommodations.

Upside: good commo with owners and prompt resolution to difficulties operating the TV. Great views and nice beach although lots of people on the beach. Nice and close to Lincoln City and Depo bay restaurants. Adequately stocked for cooking and nice that the cleaners leave spices and cooking oil incoming guests. Downside: Carpet was very dirty and needs to be replaced. The unit is immediately adjacent to an RV Park so dogs barking, and lots of people on the beach. I saw one review that said very quiet location. That must be a review on a different house. The internet is slow during the day and in the evenings is down to 1-3 Mbps making it quite frustrating to watch a movie. My scanner showed 14 active connections on the router and we were only using 3 phones and one TV. So obviously the internet is shared among other units. Also the water heater must be shared as well as some times it would run out of hot water quickly and sometimes it wouldn't.
