I booked this property for a birthday celebration and we were extremely pleased with the experience. The house has plenty of space for a large group and is very comfortable. The management company (FieldTrip) were great to work with as well. They were extremely communicative and helpful. We booked a chef and transportation through them and both were wonderful. I highly recommend this property for any large group celebration!

This property is, admittedly, on the more expensive side -- but I'd state outright that you do get what you pay for here, and one of those things is first-class treatment and communication with the property manager(s). We had several small operational issues and the managers and property go-tos were so friendly and responsive on our first night that it truly made a big difference in our stay. The house(s) themselves are wonderful. People who have complained that the property abuts a main road too closely are being really, really picky because there is hardly any traffic back there; I really wouldn't even call it a main road. The sunsets are gorgeous and the pool and hot tub (spa) are great features, if not exactly super user friendly. (Even though the app is efficient in telling you how to run these things, you might find yourself needing to talk to a human once or twice--and don't hesitate to do so; the whole team is incredibly friendly and accommodating.) My only negative comment would be that there were some small corners and areas of wear/tear in the master bathroom that were noticeable, but would be easily fixable with some paint, caulk and a few hours of work. Not much of an issue and it didn't diminish our stay! I'd easily rent this property--and another property from Fieldtrip--again. My friends and I had a terrific time--we felt taken care of and even pampered by the staff without any undue interference. Overall, we couldn't have asked for much more.

The house is gorgeous, and the location is so close to the park - just a short drive to get to either entrance. We had bad weather, but the hot tub was easy to manage and the house stayed warm. We had a few problems with the house, which were addressed immediately by the kind FieldTrip consultants. The house has wear and tear on the carpets, but other than that is pretty much impeccable - good, useful kitchen, great showers, comfortable beds, nice furnishings, etc. I would absolutely rent from them again.

We decided to splurge as we had a group of old friends meeting up for a long weekend, and booked this house based on the listing which advertised a luxury home with amenities and the five star services of a boutique hotel. In retrospect we wish we had booked a more typical Joshua Tree rental because nothing about this experience was luxurious. First, nowhere does it say that this house is not in a quiet desert location that people go to JT for, but instead is on the major road between the park and Yucca Valley with fairly constant 55 mph traffic in front at all times. Upon arrival we spent an hour trying to hook up to the Sonos system to set the mood for our guests arriving, and after several calls and messages with the property manager who assured us there was a way to do it, they sent someone over. He quickly determined that there is, in fact, no Sonos system in the house despite it being listed on their website. Wasted a ton of our time. We were informed an hour before arrival that the heat in the casita was non operational (a property management term we came to know well that weekend), so they instead put space heaters in each room which actually worked fine but is not what one would expect from what is billed as a luxury five-star experience. The one appeal of the house turned out to be the spa, which was nice but broke a total of four times while we were there, and each time we had to stop what we were doing and contact the property manager who would reset it remotely without giving us any explanation as to why it kept malfunctioning or what we could do differently. Really just one thing after another and a clearly inexperienced property management company who shouldn't set such high expectations and then not deliver. We would rather be told a place is rustic and quirky and be fine with that. (Also odd that they sent a bunch of questions about who were are and what we like to do so they could curate some recommendations and things to do while we're here, and then never followed up. We really didn't need their recommendations but weird to make us take the time to do that for no reason). We told them we weren't looking for a refund or anything, it is what it is, but they said multiple times that they were going to have their resolutions department get back to us, which also never happened. Best to avoid this house and this company.

Beautiful and well appointed property in Joshua Tree, but feels like a high end Palm Springs home. Pool was divine and the two bedroom Casita great for those that need added privacy or perhaps like to call it a night early. Location was fun and very central to so much. If you are considering this property, stop looking and just book. You won't regret it.

While the property is accurately depicted in the photographs, there were a number of things that were not working upon arrival. Most importantly the spa was not functional. Moreover, the property manager was aware that this was the case prior to our arrival. This was confirmed by both the technician who came to the property to attempt to fix it and one of the property managers. Unfortunately, they chose not to make us aware of this issue, which was quite disingenuous. I have rented VRBO properties all of the country and i have never before written a negative review. Elizabeth and team, while courteous, were completely ineffective and the fact that this was known to them and they didn't inform was not acceptable. Additionally, the grill required maintenance as did several other items in the house.

Good house & Good location close to the park entrance. We had a fun stay in Joshua Tree. We scheduled a guided hike in the park, a sunset photography class and visited a local artist to learn and experience making sun prints. Elizabeth was very responsive to any of our questions. Joshua tree is magical ❤️

Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The home itself was in a great location, very private, and easily accessible. The pool area is nice and clean, but we had a few issues with warming the spa. The spa heater made a loud whistling noise while on, and it continued despite the instructions given by the owner. Hopefully they repair that soon because it’s a great spa! The house was nice but not as clean as I am used to for vacation rentals at this price. The carpets had stains and some of the beds had little critters hidden under the pillows (mostly in the casita). This occurred in 3 of the 5 bedrooms. The kitchen we nicely stocked with dish ware and cooking utensils, but we had multiple issues with the appliances (some of the igniters on the stove didn’t work, the refrigerator was not that cold). For the most part, it was fine. Overall, we had a good stay! Best part was the outdoor area and location. I would recommend this place!

My friends and I had an amazing time at this property. The house is better than the pictures, the pool was used every day and the umbrella for the pool was a nice touch! Liz arranged for groceries to be delivered to the house which was such a time saver. The house is conveniently located just a few minutes drive to Joshua Tree town and the park. All the instructions from check-in were accurate and helpful for using the house. The WiFi worked great even with several people using at a time. We cooked every meal during our stay at the house, and enjoyed dining inside and out on the patio! Overall would recommend and we would stay again!
