Great space for family to enjoy and spread out bumper pool and foosball

We had a fantastic stay at Alpine Vista! The house was clean, had comfortable furniture, and had great amenities. The game room especially was a hit! Great communication from the host as well. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This place is amazing—absolutely what I expected based on the photos. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, and the location was a perfect base for the winter activities available. The fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast and dinner. The view is breathtaking. It was wonderful to have morning coffee by the fire and see the sun rise over the whole valley. We have a large family group with lots of kids and this fit all of us very comfortably. An unforgettable stay! Highly recommend to everyone from large families to just girls trip too. You will not regret staying at this house.

We couldn’t have asked for a better location for our family gathering! The house was well stocked and beautifully decorated. Very clean with spectacular views! The beds were comfortable. I appreciated how well the owners communicated — very friendly and quick to respond. The home has three very convenient parking spaces. I was relieved to see we did not need to park on a steep driveway. The parking spaces are flat right next to the cul-de-sac in front of the house. We did need to shuttle our drivers down to the overflow parking lot by the pool. They would then drive back up to the house to pick up people. It was not a problem. It just required a little extra planning when we left for tubing (so fun!). We look forward to returning again in the future!

Great place for vacation!

Host was very welcoming and accommodating!! My family has already asked about booking this property again! Beautiful views of the mountains, the property was clean and cozy, lots of lady bugs but they weren’t a bother at all. Definitely want to come back again. 10/10!!

Fabulous property for family reunion Beautiful view

My family and I stayed at Alpine Vista for 4 nights and 5 days. We enjoyed ourselves, and the property was very nice. Certainly plenty more pluses than minuses, and I would recommend the home. Still, a couple of minor negatives concerning issues with the master bedroom upstairs: Poor water pressure in the showers, poor lighting in the bedroom, paint peeling in the master bath and some of the furniture is old and cheap. The other bedrooms were nice but very small. The pictures on VRBO certainly present images that seem much larger and grander than what we found. I guess thats how you sell:)Still there were plenty more positives than the minor negatives highlighted above. We found the home extremely clean, and the property owner/manager let us have a later than posted checkout time which we really appreciated. The views are stunning, and it is a great home for a larger family stay, but the price is a bit steep for the value received. All in all, fun place, gorgeous views and minor issues that I thought I would address (since my wife and I were the ones staying in the master bedroom upstairs.

We had a pleasant stay.

We really enjoyed the coziness and fireplace. It has very c comfortable large sectional couches in the home. It’s in a good location far as being very close to the activities our family did(skiing and tubing). The parking is not very good is the only downfall. There is no driveway that pulls up close to the home. You have to park at top in the roundabout and walk down 2-3 sets of steps and across boardwalk to reach the front door, so carry a bunch of stuff in and out was a bit of a task. It snowed before and during our trip and the parking area was barely plowed and the small bit they did was piled up in that area so it took a lot of the parking space we had. It say it can fit 2-3 smaller vehicles but me and my sister drive large suvs and we barely fit in that area because of the gravel and snow piled in it. They are very strict about your parking. My tire was sticking out maybe 2 inches across the line and a cop knocked on our door with a hour of arriving while we were still getting items out the vehicles and settled. He was very polite and we adjusted the vehicles best we could to be behind the line( the owners did warn about this but bc of the snow piled up it was very difficult to situate the vehicles without touching it. Also we are from a somewhat rural area and deal with lady bugs and stink bugs certain times of the year in our home as well, but there were a lot of lady bugs in the home, especially in the bedrooms, lamps, beds, anyone not use to those harmless.

Easy 5-star experience. Gorgeous, well-maintained, extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean house. Sumptuous upstairs king bedroom with full bath. Main floor worked great for both of the 80 yr old grandmothers. Loved the gas stove! Loved the view, the sunrises every morning were spectacular! Very quiet and peaceful surroundings, yet an easy 20 minute drive to groceries and restaurants in Elkton. Had one minor issue the day before Thanksgiving and called the property manager; in less than an hour he had consulted the owners and arranged for a handyman to come by to fix the problem. Truly impressive responsiveness! Fridge, stove, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer all modern and easy to use. TVs were great as were the extremely comfortable couches and chairs. Made good use of pool table, foosball, and air hockey. Beds were very comfortable and gorgeously decorated. I could go on and on, but it was the perfect place for us to celebrate Thanksgiving, and we're grateful for the wonderful stay!!!

Nice area, wonderful views, and comfortable house.

Perfect experience start- to-finish! I do think the listing should mention the extremely long and steep stairs required to access the home and maybe include a photo. Although this only slowed some of us down, it could easily be a show stopper for others. Beautiful property!

We had a wonderful time and it is a wonderful property

We came to JMU for a football game with our family friends and had a wonderful stay. The house had what we needed, was clean and had wonderful views. Tips: - come ready with your TV streaming information - the house has 3 parking spaces; you walk down a series of steps to enter the house

A beautiful comfortable property to retreat and enjoy the scenic view and plenty of space to kick back and relax with a book. We able to grill dinner on the deck, and play games in the evening-great weekend getaway.
