PLEASE NOTE: Alpine Outlook is a NON-smoking, NON-pet friendly home. This home has an outdoor ring doorbell security camera. While operable, the outdoor gas logs fireplace is NOT an included amenity. It is very difficult to light, and you must do it yourself if you wish to use it during your stay. Greybeard will NOT send a technician to the home to light it.
Cabin is built great, looks wonderful. The area is definitely in the middle of the woods/mountains. It is gorgeous, but it is a dry county with NO stores closer than 30+ minutes, so come prepared! I think that detail needs to be mentioned better, especially to out of state guests that aren't familiar with the area. As far as the amenities, the outdoor fireplace was working, however the indoor fireplace in the livingroom did not. I was in contact with the help line and someone did come by to try to fix, however it never actually fixed the problem and we never got to use it. The hot tub has a feature on it to go into sleep mode, which we found out the hard way. After a long day of builtmore, we came back to sit in the tub and it was 80 degrees and had gone into sleep mode. While both things are not that huge of a deal necessarily, you’re paying to stay and enjoy your time, not be a homeowner troubleshooting issues around the house. We had one dishwasher tab to use, therefore we had to either go buy some or wash dishes by hand the rest of the time. just little things like this that really don't matter to the owner apparently, but paying guests, its a big deal when they start adding up. The stables were not available for horse riding ... And please let people know to try and drive a 4wd or Awd vehicle ... we received a text the day before leaving that told us this info ... but we had already reserved our vehicle when we booked trip
Property was fantastic! House was well appointed and really enjoyed the covered deck to watch tv and the hot tub. Beds were super comfy!
Beautiful property in Wolf Laurel!
We loved this home! The views from the porch and living area were breath taking. The home was immaculate. We loved the hot tub and everything was very comfortable. I would go back any time
Gorgeous property and home. Cute town to visit and shop.
We had a wonderful family vacation in this beautiful house. The home was well stocked in the kitchen and had a ton of fun games to play as a family. We enjoyed some amazing hikes and my girls bonded with a friendly horse across the road. It was a bummer that the stables were closed but we made the most of it. My only suggestion would be to add more silverware.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home is beautiful and the house was well stocked in the kitchen and game department. We had so much fun playing new games as a family. The beds were super comfortable too. It was a bummer that the stables were closed but my kids made friends with a super friendly horse across the street. Our only suggestion would be more silverware.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay at this house. Everything was high quality and had everything we needed. The deck was great. Spent our nights out there enjoying the view, fireplace and TV! So appreciated the pre-check in reminders and communications. And super impressed with the starter bag of supplies — and wine! Felt welecomed the moment we walked in.
Nice house but property location for someone that has never been in the mountains is very overwhelming. Would have loved to know about all the winding roads. I feel this should be disclosed in the descriptions for all 1st timers
Lots of snow, beautiful views. The beautiful home is very highend, very clean, verything you could possibly need while snowed in. Very private and secluded. Loved the hot tube.
My wife and I stayed at this property for a mountain getaway. I can’t think of a single negative thing to say about our stay. The place was clean and tidy, had all the amenities you could want, and everything was labeled for easy use. We had a fantastic time and we are already looking at future dates to come back!
This is a wonderful property and is as advertised. It was spotless on arrival, with hot tub serviced once weekly. The kitchen may be the best stocked we've ever encountered. The covered gas fireplace and TV on the upper deck made for absolutely wonderful relaxation and football viewing. The mountain view is great, and there is access to horseback riding 500 yards down the hill. Also loved the outdoor fire pit and it came stocked with plenty of wood. Definitely will stay here again!
Property Overall was amazing the home itself it beautiful, breath taking views, hot tub is an awesome plus. Grey Beard Rentals was quick to respond with any questions and made check in and out very easy. The only thing I feel obligated to note is the roads getting to the property are narrow and winding and some sections are a 4wd or awd only.
We enjoyed our stay at the Alpine Overlook. The house was beautifully maintained and everything worked perfectly. The bunk room is perfect for children. Relaxing on the porch with the outstanding view was a favorite activity.
This home is one of the nicest we have stayed at, the setting is so pleasant and relaxing and the furnishings and space are inviting, comfortable, clean, and everything is in perfect shape. The view is amazing and the decks are a great place to hang out.
Top notch property. Highly recommend to any family looking for a get-a-way.
