When we arrived the house had not been cleaned and there was dog hair all over the unmade beds and pillows, wet towels still hung by shower from the previous renters, snotty Kleenex were still in the trash cans, you get the idea. And for what this property charges per night, it should’ve been perfect upon arrival. After several calls, the owner/property management company provided a partial refund. There’s a lot of deferred maintenance apparent with this property. The dishwasher didnt work, the garbage disposal didn’t work, the baseboards by the kitchen sink were gone leaving exposed metal staples and filth in the kitchen of all places. The bed mattresses were of low quality and uncomfortable to sleep on. The living room couches were stained and filthy. My family loves Blue River and we stay there every winter, and this house was in an idyllic neighborhood. However, I would never stay at this property again. It isn’t worth the money and there are far more superior properties for equal or less cost.

The house was well stocked, clean and very beautiful!! Location is close to drive to town in a few minutes and such beautiful views. The home has a beautiful fireplace and was stocked with plenty of firewood. Very comfortable home!!!!

House is absolutely gorgeous! The views from everywhere in the house are stunning. You have the feeling that you are alone in the middle of nowhere.

It was everything we were hoping for and more! The location was at the end of a cul-de-sac. It seemed so secluded yet was close to neighbors all around. Bounded by a cold, clear stream on the back/deck side and a protected wetland out the front windows. Lots of wildlife all around. We wanted to stay out on the deck forever. It had everything we needed in the kitchen, plus a gas grill out on the deck. We used it all!! But it’s less than 5 miles into the town of Breckinridge with too many great restaurants to pick from. I really hope we can go back next year!!! Watch for the moose! I wish they had a place that I could post the picture of the big bull moose we saw one evening!!

Our group of 7 adults were very comfortable at this wonderful log cabin home. It’s in a great location close to Breckenridge and hiking trails. Wonderful Mountain views and a nice large deck with plenty of seating. Also, plenty of comfortable seating inside for our group to gather. No one even felt the need to turn on the TV…we were able to just enjoy each other and the environment!Kitchen is fully stocked with a lot of nice extras we weren’t expecting. We were completely unaware of this area not selling plastic bottles of water so the filtered automatic water dispenser in the refrigerator was a Godsend to refill our water bottles! All the small and large appliances were extra nice and fully operational! The crank windows and unique shades were great to let in just enough cool air and light!Just a couple of negatives…the master bed and sofa bed are not very comfortable especially if you are used to a softer mattress, but the other beds were great! The owner communicated with us before checkin, was very attentive, quick to answer questions, and took care of all our needs. Overall, the house was very clean and comfortable! The extra nice furniture and decor were a plus!! We loved our stay and would definitely choose this home again!!

This house was in a beautiful location in the Blue River valley. Views were wonderful and the deck was very nice. The master bed and couches were comfortable and we were able to check in early. Beyond that, the reasons below are why I only gave it 3 stars. The house needs a lot of maintenance and general cleaning. While the bedrooms and bathrooms were mostly clean, the kitchen needed a thorough cleaning. There were crumbs on the kitchen sink rug, general trash/junk/dirt in the kitchen drawers, old food in the fridge; and there was even a pacifier sitting out on the baker’s rack, along with broken blinds from the slider door.Maintenance items that need to be addressed:• There were lightbulbs out everywhere and the entire light fixture over the kitchen island didn’t work at all.• The bathtub in the guest bathroom, which we never used, constantly dripped, causing the well pump to run every few minutes, which made a humming/vibrating noise the entire time we were there. • The shower door in the master bathroom had a terrible leak and the bathmat was soaking wet after every shower. But the biggest frustration/complaint was that all of the digital thermostats were contained in locked covers. They were all set at 62 degrees. If you wanted it any warmer, you had to call, not text, the owner and ask to turn it up. I saw this in other, older reviews but honestly thought that it would have changed by now. Why wouldn’t you want your guests to be comfortable, and if you can’t afford the heating bills, then increase the rent! Being in a mountain home at over 10,000 ft means it’s chilly in the mornings, even in late June (when we were there); but does the owner really want people calling at 6am to turn up the heat?? It’s ridiculous! We’ve stayed in numerous vacation rentals and have never experienced anything like this. I hope that the management company and owners make some improvements. But we won’t stay here again and won’t recommend it.

Great place to stay with plenty of room to spread out. We had a group of 7 adults and were very comfortable from a space perspective. Kitchen VERY well supplied with utensils, spices etc. Bathrooms, utility room etc also well supplied. Master shower has a steaming device that is great after a long day of skiing. A great location. Very quiet and secluded. Not too close to town and not very far away either. About 7-10 minutes from Beaver Run parking/lifts at Peak 9. Would recommend and hope to come back sometime.

This place was the perfect location for our group. Blue River feels far away in the peace of the mountains, but it's just 10 minutes from drop-off at the Breck lifts. The place has everything we needed for our family and our pup. We'll be back.
