The Best Neighborhood in Little Rock
Located in Hillcrest -- a neighborhood which the Arkansas Times called 'the best neighborhood in Little Rock' Hillcrest is always full of life — especially when the local merchants host “Shop ‘N’ Sip” on the first Thursday of every month. Businesses stay open late and invite customers to enjoy a glass of wine and refreshments while they shop. After shopping, plan on dinner at a local eatery, like Café Bossa Nova or Acadia. Hillcrest is also home to beautiful Allsopp Park, which boasts trails, tennis courts, a playground and more than 10,000 annual visitors every year. Here's how far you have to go to get to any and everything in this quaint neighborhood — To the grocery store: About three blocks. To the waterworks park: About five blocks. To Allsopp Park: About four blocks. To the new bike store: Five blocks. To the cute independent dress shop: two blocks. To the bus stop: Two blocks. To the Greek diner: Seven blocks. To get a great margarita: three blocks. To the upscale country chic furniture store: Seven blocks. To the pool hall: Four blocks. To the hairdresser: three blocks.
This is a duplex so both sides can be rented for larger groups if they are both available.
Needed a place to stay rotating at UAMS this was perfect clean comfortable spot
We had a great experience staying in this home. Our family of 4 had more than enough room. The house was clean and cute. It’s just moments away from shopping. Our family has young kids so we were needing a family friendly location and nearby activities. The grocery store is right around the corner and the zoo is just down the street. The house is just a short drive from restaurants, book stores, movie theaters and shopping centers. We’re from a small farm town so being so close to big city shopping experiences was really fun. The neighborhood is clean and quiet and we felt very safe. We would definitely stay here again someday.
We loved the place! We had a pleasant walk to Hill Station and had a yummy dinner in the beautiful outdoor seating area. The locale is quaint and so lovely and inviting… The house itself has everything you need. The hosts were kind, and were quick to answer every question. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!
Cute duplex, location to shops and eats is PERFECT for walking. Small leak around tube (we think). 2 security lights out by door-1 was working and gave plenty of light. Parking a little tricky due to 2 cars from guests in adjacent unit. Overall great place to stay.
We loved the location and walkability to shops and restaurants. We ate a bunch of great places in Hillcrest and enjoyed the live music on their 1st Thursday event. We parked on Walnut Street, since the driveway was a bit steep and narrow. We just left it to the other side of the duplex. Beds were clean and comfy and the shower was nice and toasty. Home and furnishings are in need a few minor repairs/update but over in good shape. We much prefer a home to a hotel when we travel and this one checked all our boxes. Would stay there again if we came to the area.
We come to Little Rock yearly for a cancer check up, this is our 3 time staying here. This duplex is wonderful.
Had a great getaway to LR when we stayed at this place in the Hillcrest area. It was less than a half mile walk through tree-lined streets filled with lovely homes to get to a coffee shop, variety of restaurants, grocery store, farmer's market, city-owned park, local shops, etc. We were comfy in the cozy home with great a.c., wi-fi, ipdated shower/tub, 3 cable equpped t.v.s, with room in the main living space to sit & vist. You could park & not leave the neighborhood & still have a fine get-away but are a short drive from the zoo, rivermarket district, malls, museums, & everything else the city has to offer. Bring a chair if you want to sit outside in the small shaded area just outside the back door. There were plenty of friendly people out walking dogs & enjoying this safe neighborhood waving hello when we were there over Memorial Day weekend, 2021. The only downside my adult sons saw were no 3-pronged outlets in the bedrooms so they could more easily avoid interacting with family! Highly recommend & we will be returning to park (squeezed in the driveway) & walk everywhere we wanna go.
This was a great property and location. It’s an older home so with that there are some inherent differences to a fresh/new place. Literally couldn’t have been better suited for us as far as what we needed while in town.
Good choice for a clean place to stay with a homey feel.
Great place for my sister and I to stay while in town for 3 days of golfing. Clean, cozy and comfortable.
