Stayed Aug 22, 2025ALFORD’s Getaway is a beautiful home on a quiet cove which was perfect for our families mini vacation. The house was spotless and there’s alot of space in the bedrooms to spread out. The best part of the whole place is the view and the wonderful cove it sits in. We 100% recommend it if you are looking for a beautiful view and a deep cove to kayak and fish.

Stayed Jul 25, 2025This is our 4th time staying here! Perfect location. Love that each bedroom has its own bathroom. The dock is great place to tie up our boat and jet ski. Ate our meals on the porch. Enjoyed mourning walks in the neighborhood. Our family has made many memories here!

The house was extremely clean and well-maintained, with very comfortable beds.The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. We especially loved that all the bedrooms had direct access to balconies—both upper and lower levels. Communication with the owners was smooth and easy.We would absolutely stay here again.

Stayed May 7, 2025Amazing views. Ample space and plenty to keep us entertained. Overall, we had a great time. The kids didn't want to leave. Only cons were bringing your own linen (towels and sheets, etc) and taking your own trash.

Stayed Aug 3, 2024Alford's Getaway is a beautiful home on a very nice cove. The kitchen is well-stocked and easy to move around in when there is more than one person cooking. The bedrooms and bathrooms are nice, very clean and give you privacy. The beds are comfortable. The cove is deep and the water clean. The dock is nice and great for sitting and relaxing. We had a great time!

Stayed May 26, 2024This was our third time staying at this house. Location on the lake is very convenient to Jake’s Place, Drifter’s, Portside and the bridge. The dock is perfect for our boat. The house is very clean and well stocked. We cooked several meals on the grill and ate every meal on the deck. We also enjoyed morning walks in the neighborhood. We celebrated my husband’s 50th birthday by picking up a delicious carrot cake by boat from the Smith Mountain Lake Coffee House. Highly recommend this house!!!
