Friends and family stayed for a week after cruising the inside passage, we had a great trip and host Kurt gave us tips on things to do in area , knik glacier atv trip was a great time as well as flying with rusts aviation to lake Clark to see brown bears eating salmon , house is as advertised, big beautiful and on the lake !

A wonderfully positioned stay with more than the comforts of home! The views from the back yard of Big lake, Denali, and aurora were Highlights for this trip! We were a group of 12! The owners provided the necessities better than any home we have rented and went above and beyond to see to our requests. Thank you!

What a great stay in Wasilla! Gorgeous views and a super host! Kurt met us at the property to help us become familiar with his beautiful home and surrounding area, activities, and more. We were able to hire a float plane to pick us up right at his dock for an amazing flight to view Denali! This is a very unique opportunity and we hope to get back there again.

So breathtaking and beautiful. Perfect for a get away. It was everything and more and I will definitely be saving up to come back.

This house is located right on the lake, the house itself equipped very well, clean and beautiful.

This was the 2nd Thanksgiving, we’ve stayed at this Big Lake lodge and it was just as we remembered. The lodge is spacious enough that we are not all on top of each other (3 adults and 4 teenagers can get crowded) but can all get together to enjoy Thanksgiving together with plenty of activities both outside and inside to keep everyone happy. The perfect Thanksgiving getaway for everyone.

Everything we needed to have an adventurous and relaxing family getaway. Access to the lake, beautiful vistas of Denali, fun games for everyone to enjoy, nice big kitchen and room to hang out. We were close driving distance to additional outdoor adventures.

We came with extended family, 10 total including 2 teens and 2 Grammies Kurt was extremely helpful from the time we booked to the time we left! He gave several suggestions for excursions and places to visit. He answered all of my questions quickly. The house is perfect for a big group! There was room for everyone to spread out. We had a few rainy days and enjoyed the hot tub, sauna, and steam room so much! We also had some lovely sunsets over the water and enjoyed the fire pit as well. We played football on the soft green lawn. The kitchen has everything you need. We made dinner every night at the house to take advantage of being there and the long summer days after a day of exploring. The 3 Bears grocery and liquor store are close which was helpful. The Carr’s in Wasilla had great fish. The location is Central Valley so there is adventure in every direction My only suggestion would be updated linens/ towels. We had a great time and look forward to returning one day!!
