Alaqua on the Beach-N Chesterman, hot tub, firepit

Everything was great - clean, comfortable, luxurious accommodation. We had a problem with the BBQ, but the host was immediately responsive and accommodating once I reported it.

We had a lovely stay at Alaqua on the Beach. What a special place. The home is in a perfect location with gorgeous light filled rooms and lots of space to stretch out and relax. While the home is dated, it is clean, comfortable, and communication is easy with the management company. We appreciated their willingness to work with some different requests that allowed us to do some tours and have our pets looked after in the home. We would be grateful to return to this home and the magic of Chesterman Beach.

Great location nestled in the trees just steps off the beach but still bright and airy. Aquala is very comfortable and well equipped. Our surfers loved the direct walk to the waves, others loved the hot tub. Our second year booking with TofinoVR who are most helpful and responsive. We will be back!

Our stay at the property was amazing! Tofino rentals was awesome to communicate with. All aspects of this home could not have been any better with the location being the best part of it all! Kid and pet friendly. Would love to stay again soon. Tofino is the best place!

We had an unbelievable stay. The place was amazing, so comfortable, beds awesome and we had great weather, cool but our children were in surfing. The host Steven Bick was amazing And what can we say about the beautiful Chesterman’s beach. Can’t wait to go back !

The property was great, probably the best equipped of any property I have rented. The only thing it needs is one more electrical outlet in the kitchen.

We had an amazing time at the Alaqua in February with our two adult children. The open lovely space was wonderful, and we loved the big kitchen and round table for family dinners. We also liked how the master bedroom was separated from the other bedrooms. Our kids had the best time walking to surf and appreciated the outdoor shower. The views were incredible and we especially loved watching the surfers from the cozy living room and also from the hot tub! We hope to be back.

We enjoyed our 5 night stay at Alaqua on the Beach tremendously. The location was spectacular-we were able to watch the waves and the surfers from the comfort of the great room. We enjoyed the many hiking trails and ability to walk to the Wickaninnish Inn for coffee and treat in front of the fireplace at the Driftwood Cafe. It was a short 5 minute drive to town for groceries and restaurants. The Shelter restaurant was wonderful. We also splurged on dinner at The Point. Two fantastic meals! The home's kitchen was perfect - everything we needed to prepare meals when eating in. The beds were super comfortable. Danielle and team were very responsive. All questions were answered promptly and with warmth and kindness. We were so grateful for the place, the people and the stay. Thank you!

Nice place, great location

Truly magical stay at the Alaqua on Chesterman Beach. This 3 BR beach house had all the amenities and more, with the most amazing views of the surf.... wish we had time to stay for longer. A true 5 star experience! We will be back!

We had an amazing friends weekend at the Alaqua. The round great room space of the living, dining and kitchen is perfect for entertaining a group. We had warm and sunny weather in January (almost unheard of), and sat outside for hours on one of Tofino's most beautiful beaches - right at our door step! If the weather had turned to rain, we would have spend that time enjoying the storms from the great room - it felt like we had theater seating. The beds were very comfy and Tofino Vacation Rentals was a pleasure to work with. It felt good to support a locally owned business. TVR and the Alaqua are highly recommended by our whole crew.

This was a great spot to share dinners with family. Great access to swims (even on New Years) with quick retreat to the hot tub.

We had a great 4 nights at Alaqua! The place is a fabulous fit for families, with wonderful open spaces, a kitchen that promotes gathering, and fantastic views and beach access. The hotwater outside shower is brilliant, and the adjacent hot tub for 6 makes those beach transitions a pleasure instead of a pain. Jacqui at TVR was excellent and timely with communications, making for a great Remembrance weekend memories.

We love to visit Tofino at the end of October and stay beachfront on Chesterman with our 2 Bernese Mountain dogs. Alaqua did not disappoint. Super well equipped kitchen, private, loads of space, excellent location near Frank Island for eagle watching, hot tub is lovely. Any bumps in the road were handled immediately by the super efficient team at Tofino Vacation Rentals who were a dream to work with. Would highly recommend Alaqua - so much so we have booked it next year!

Everything about our stay was 5 star plus! All the little extras included from the local dish soap, shampoo and hand soap; to the quick removal of any garbage and recycling were completely unexpected but very much appreciated. We really enjoyed the hot tub, outdoor shower and out door living space while gazing out to the beach. This was our second time at this property and is a “must book” property! We will be back!

Great property. Phenomenal view & access to beach. Home was stocked decently. Main spaces were clean, however, windows and window seals need cleaned. The home appears older, furnishings a little run down, 2 bedrooms are small. We loved the hot tub, outdoor shower, dehumidifier, and overall beach life! Would come back!
