AL41689 Lovely 5 Bed 3 Bath House With Pool Within Walking Distance of Beach.

There was no toliet paper No paper towels or dish soap No garbage bags Couldnt get ac remotes to workEntire house reaks of mold including furniture We had to wash towels before we could use them because they smelt sour and were dampThe beds are like sleeping on concrete. We were all in pain every morning Location is nice and close to beach at least. Im not one for leaving bad reviews but this was not an enjoyable stay to what we wanted to be an enjoyable vacation

This is a lovely property that is very close to the beach and a 5 min cycle ride to Monte Gordo. There is also a nearby shop attached to a cafe that is perfect for essentials. The beach itself (5 mins walk away) is stunning and seems to go on forever. As is clear from the pictures, decoratively the house is a tad dated inside. For those who don't mind this, however, it offers a perfect Algarve beach house. Although the house has 5 bedrooms, the small living area would make it a bit of a squeeze for large gatherings, ie any more than 6 adults and 2 small children. One word of caution: if you travel to the Algarve in winter (Dec-Jan), as we did, be prepared for its unpleasant combination of very cold night temperatures and high humidity (= a lot of damp, wet surfaces outside and even mould inside), something for which we were unprepared! Very few Portuguese houses seem to be built to deal with this problem, and ours was no exception. The house does not have a tumble dryer so we took many trips to the launderette as it was impossible to dry clothes by hanging. As I understand it, however, outside of winter damp is not an issue. There was excellent communication from the owners throughout: they were quick to respond to any questions or issues, and forgiving of our small breakages, which was much appreciated. Overall, highly recommended! (Just maybe avoid winter).

This house was perfect in every aspect, but the size and quality of the beds in one of the bedrooms was not adults or teenagers

Very nice house, well equipped, very clean and close to the beach. The contact with the owners was easy and fast. There's plenty of room on the inside and the outside that provides privacy and relaxing times for everybody. We definitely recommend this house! Thanks.

This is the second year we have stayed in a property managed by Andrew and Elsa and both stays have been very enjoyable The property was perfect for our large family and the proximity to the beach was excellent The property was very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and the outside pool and BBQ area was perfect for fun in the sun and to relax with dinner and a glass of something cold later in the evening We would have hesitation in recommending this property to people who want a quiet relaxing holiday near to the beach We have every intention of booking again for 2019.

We stayed over for 9 days, including 6 adults and a small child. The house was in pristine condition, very comfortable and with plenty of space for everyone. We spent many hours in the swimming pool and in the terrace at the back. The owners were also excellent in communications and made our stay even more pleasant. The only inconvenience for us was the lack of a baby cot, and protection for the swimming pool and stairs. This would only affect families with small kids, and as long as someone is always watching them it's fine. For those who prefer a quiet time, there is a small supermarket and a restaurant just a few minutes walk that cover most needs. And the beach, right at the end of the street, is absolutely amazing!.. If you want to head to Monte Gordo (the nearest town) in the evening you probably need a car, as it's hard (and very dark) to take the path by the beach at night. All in all, highly recommended for a quiet stay by the beach.

We had a nice time at this house. It looks exactly as on the pictures and the owners are very kind. We enjoyed spending days by the pool or on the beach. Perfect choice for 2 families.

Six friends and I stayed for nearly a week at the residence, and it was probably one of the best working holidays any of us have ever enjoyed. The house is spacious and immaculate; the bedrooms are spacious; and the appliances are like new. Its proximity to the beach, nature preserve, and local towns could not be better--we all enjoyed running along the beach every day and easy trips to the store. Of course, this is to say nothing of the Algarve and beachfront itself. The caretakers, Andrew and Else, were extraordinarily kind to us on several occasions, even coming over twice to sort out our mistakes--when we couldn't figure out how to work the oven (our mistake), when we accidentally maxed out the power, and when we were wondering about restaurants and things to do in the area / the best vantage point to view the sunset. We truly could not recommend this residence highly enough.
