Beautiful spot. Beds very comfy. Great view, loved swing out front.

It was well equipped however looks like some maintenance on deck (hole) and pool table cues were terrible and had no tips. So i bought glue and glued on some that were sitting on shelf. Triangle for balls stuck together with a bandaid.. so i fixed also. Bathrooms and floors and all windows quite unclean. Sliding doors covered in finger prints and smudges etc. Overall it was nice and roomy and good location. Just needs some love

Reviewer Comments: My wife and I and our son’s family rented the property Ahoy Point Turton for a long weekend get together.We were extremely happy with the layout and rooms in the house. We were also really happy with extra equipment provided in the shack (ie coffee machine, air fryer, microwave, toaster, pool table, darts - just to name a few).The front deck and bbq area are great for large group get togethers and the view from there is terrific.The property is as described.The only small negative is that the “older” part of the shack is a little tired and run down - some of the fly screens are broken, the windows are hard to open and the second bathroom has some rust and wear and tear problems.

The location was spectacular and the front deck was a great place to unwind and enjoy the view. Very close to the jetty and the local pub for a meal. The house was a great size for large groups and the beds were comfortable. We had taken some family DVDs along to reminisce as a family, but unfortunately the DVD player was not working. Overall, we would stay again because of the size of the house and the fantastic views and location.

We stayed for a week at this holiday house. At first, we had some issues with flooding which caused a lot of water in the games room. This left a horrible smell that didn’t really go away during the week. The property manager and cleaners were wonderful, though, and did their best to help clean up the water and provided air fresheners to try and mask the smell.The property itself is in a fantastic location with plenty of space for the kids to ride their bikes up and down the hill, which they loved. The only feedback I would give is that the games area really needs attention , new seating, fresh flooring (the mats had a lingering pet smell), and an overall refresh to make it more inviting. The kitchen could also use some more variety of utensils for basic cooking needs, and having only one cutting board made it tricky to prepare meals for 10 people.All in all, it was a lovely week away with friends and we had a great time. However, we won’t be back until the property has a proper update to the games room and kitchen to make it more comfortable for larger groups.

Great relaxing stay, with friends and family. Absolutely stunning view over the bay..Property itself was clean, however some glassware, cutlery and aifryer and oven tray were not clean.The tiles on bathroom floor are extremely slippery.Great meal at the pub..overall a great getaway...

Very disappointed with cleanliness of property. Dirty throughout. Musty rooms, stained carpets, old/dirty/broken equipment and fly screen. No access to the beach. In desperate need of a thorough clean and update.

Reviewer Comments: Ahoy has many positives however unfortunately there are also some negatives.The kitchen - despite being very well equipped with many gadgets and gizmos was not clean or well organised. We had to wash many things prior to using them and the cutlery draws had broken items and bits of food in them. In today's world this is really not ok. The fridge in the kitchen is quite small and the second fridge in the games room does not have a good door seal so you need to ensure the door closes properly. The dining table and outdoor setting are both huge and it's really lovely sitting out on the deck overlooking the ocean. There were only 2 bean bag lounges however - not 4 as shown in the main photo.The bedrooms had reasonably comfortable beds and were decorated nicely however in 2 of the bedrooms there was no natural light as the windows looked into an enclosed storeroom/shed.The location was very quiet however access to the beach is virtually impossible as there are no steps over an 8 foot, steep embankment. This property was on the cheaper side compared to others and I guess you get what you pay for.

Everyone was sad when it was time to leave.The house was really well equipped with absolutely everything you need from cooking utensils to cocktail making.Bedrooms are all a great size with comfy beds.We had many a pool and darts competition in the rumpus room.Our little furry friend loved laying out on the deck watching the pelicans float past.It is quiet and so peaceful. Only a short walk to the jetty and tavern.We will definitely be back.

Such a well equipped shack with everything we needed. We had a fantastic family gathering and enjoyed our stay immensely.

As three couples travelling together we had heaps of space to gather or separate as we desired. We loved that it was pet friendly too! Some bad weather had us inside and the games room proved to be a wonderful indoors experience, fun and laughter. Beds are very comfortable, every kitchen item needed is there and bathrooms etc all good. Only thing we wanted to bathe the little ones in the bath below the shower (this was a decider when i was booking) but there is no plug to do this. I know it could be a hazard if water was left running but would be good to have as no other bath there. Thankyou for the firewood as it was cold and the fire was very welcome. Just a small suggestion, the folder of information is great however we were all over Google looking for things to do. Love to see some of the tourism brochures included, e.g. Harry Butler memorial, Edith the horse and wonderful museum at Edithburgh etc. We hope to be back again.
