We had an absolutely perfect weekend. The property was extremely clean and had more than enough space for our party. There was plenty to do in the cute town nearby and we even got to see the regatta go right by the dock. We will absolutely be coming back.
Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful and fitting property for our group of friends (ages 40+, no kids this trip) to create memories and relax in the ADK. Perfectly clean, well appointed, authentic lake-life aesthetic. We look forward to our return visit!
We enjoyed our stay at the Lakeside Lodge and Lakeside Cottage on Long Lake. We had 9 adults (ages 29- 69) and 5 children(ages 2 months, 3,4,8,10). The Lodge was well equipped and is very clean with room for all to gather. There is a huge railed deck that the little ones could play on without fear of falling through or off. The lawn was large for plenty of football, bocce, corn hole, and frisbee. One way to get to the lawn was down some stony steps. These were not easy for young ones or seniors since the steps were high and sometimes slippery from dew/rain, but you were able to get to the lawn from the driveway as well. Because of the excess rain this year, the lake was higher than normal and the beach area was smaller, which was a little glitch, but we had our own boats and explored other sandy beaches on the lake.
We had a lovely stay at Lahinch Lodge. The main lodge is beautiful, complete with a covered porch facing the lake, a fun game room, and a modern-Adirondack feel throughout. The cottage, just a few steps away from the lodge towards the water, is a classic Adirondack camp offering terrific porches, too. The property is perfect for large family gatherings and has something for guests of all ages. The proximity to town is also a huge plus—we enjoyed daily walks to the bridge. Our host, Joe, was communicative, warm, and attentive. All in all, a magical trip our family will remember for years to come!
Truly one of the cleanest and best maintain short term rentals. I have experienced. It is beautiful and quiet with plenty of space to play and swim. Both the lodge and the cottage had great spaces and were very comfortable. Joe, the property manager, is very much involved in the care of the property and was helpful for any small questions. We were able to host a wonderful family reunion. Thank you!
Our family enjoyed a wonderful week on Long Lake. The house and cottage gave us plenty of room to spread out. We had 8 adults and 7 children (ages 1-14). We rented a pontoon boat from Dunn's Boat Service and kayaks from Raquette River Outfitters. We enjoyed staying at the house for some of the days but also ventured out to do a few excursions....railbikes at Revolution Rail Co. in North Creek, Fort Ticonderoga, hiked Castle Rock Trail (2.8 miles), and stopped at Buttermilk Falls. Some of us had a beautiful view of the ADK mountains with a plane ride by Helms Aero Service. We picked up pizza one night at Long Lake Diner....very good!! Hoss's Country Corner is the best grocery store in the area. Not sure I would get a weeks' worth of groceries for a large group there, but it worked for extra food that we needed. We did our big grocery run on the way to the house at a Hannaford's a few hours away. The house had a lot to offer with its' large yard and beach area. The kitchen was well stocked with many basic amenities. We made many memories and would highly recommend this house to all!!
Location was beautiful,. House was gorgeous, beds comfy, kitchen well stocked. A mile and half walk to town or a quick drive. The lower level worked great as a spot for young children awake before 6 and for teens to hang out in the evening. Due to all the flooding rains in the area, we were unable to use the firepits on the beach until Thursday. Got pizza one night from Long Lake Diner and Owl's Head Pub. Very friendly and pizza was great. Definitely would stay again.
The lodge is beautiful. The cottage is older but still lovely. Staying in 2 separate houses was new for us. We should have planned better by putting drinks and lunch supplies in the cottage so we didn’t have to go back up the stairs to the lodge which was a hike but doable. The yard was great for wiffle ball and bocce. The town was close by, but we could not walk there with older folks and little ones. The downstairs rec area was great for the kids and adults to hang out. We rented kayaks from Raquette Lake Outfitters since there aren’t any available at the lodge. There was a great little beach for the kids. Beds were very comfortable. We had a great time.
Second time staying at the Lodge and it didn’t disappoint. Wonderful location on Long Lake not far from all the trails in the ADKs and close to town for anything you need. Both houses are nice with the main lodge offering a classic but new ADK feel. The lower cottage is wonderful too and right next to the water, despite being older it was a favorite spot for us. Bring your boats canoes and kayaks, nice dock for power boat and great beach for the canoes and kayaks. Would rent again next year!
Check in was easy. The house was very clean and felt move right in. We didn’t have as much time as we wanted to enjoy the house, but it was well laid out and had plenty bedrooms and bathrooms. The beach and lake access was terrific. Excellent rental house!
We enjoyed our time at the lodge/ cottage. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. The lodge is beautiful and very comfortable. The large stone steps down to the water front/ fire pit were challenging for some of our group to traverse, but it didn’t keep us from enjoying our time. The basement in the lodge was great for playing games on a rainy day.
The Lodge is gorgeous - far nicer than even the well taken photos. Well placed in Long Lake for nice walks down to the town or ice cream. We loved our stay there.
Our family had a wonderful week at the Lahinch Lodge! The house was beautiful and the beach was perfect for the kids to swim off of.
All 14 family members fit nicely at the Lodge and Cottage with plenty of space inside and outside. Location minutes from town yet we felt far away from the bustle. We especially enjoyed the yard for games, multiple places to gather or sit quietly alone in sun or shade. On our all day rain day we enjoyed the ping pong and pool tables and games in the great room of the lodge. For those family who needed to stay connected the WiFi was excellent.
Enjoyed our stay. The trip from the house to the water was a bit of a challenge! Steep walk and big steps. Perhaps consider adjusting at least one set of stairs? Getting down and onto the dock was tricky as well. Most of our group were young healthy lads and able to make it up and down with ease. Had small issue with the main refrigerator not cooling and needed to reset. Issue with plumbing in the smaller cottage. Both were repaired and operating smoothly after attention. Overall evaluation, we loved it!
We loved the location and the lodge! The owners are really good at being in contact and the lodge has everything you would ever need and more! The view was beautiful and the private beach and dock was so nice. We had an amazing time swimming and boating and fishing.
