This is our fourth vacation at Acadia Wingate, and we plan to come back again! The hosts have thought of everything: the house is very comfortable and well equipped with all you need on vacation. Plus, it's always super clean when we arrive. We love the quiet setting and beautiful views around Gull Pond. The dock makes it easy to go swimming, and the fire pit is the perfect place to relax at the end of the day. Thank you for sharing this wonderful place!

Directions were difficult to find cottage. We had 8 people but only enough towels for 6, the ladder on deck broke first time up it and upon inspection my son was poorly installed and they couldn't fix it, upstairs mattress horribly uncomfortable and beds were made with the spring side of mattresses up, luckily it was discovered and mattresses were flipped the proper way. In fact my daughter and husband left a night early because bed was so awful. We enjoyed our family and spot is beautiful

I just wanted to share how much we enjoyed our recent stay! The location was perfect – very secluded and quiet, yet close enough to town for us to go out when we wanted to. The house was incredibly well-stocked with everything we could possibly need, which made our experience even better. We truly loved Rangley and can't wait to come back. Looking forward to our next visit!

This is a beautiful and spacious log home tucked away from all the hustle and bustle of the busier lakes. The inside is recently renovated, making it clean and fresh. It felt like being in a brand-new home. We both have allergies, so this was a perfect place for us... no dust, no dog hair, no musty smell! We spent many hours just sitting on the dock watching the loons and listening to the breeze. If you want peace and quiet this is the place to go. We were also very impressed with the staff at Morton & Furbush. This is a first-class vacation rental company!

This is a truly wonderful home and property. The home is absolutely lovely, and Gull Pond is beautiful and peaceful. The drive to town is easy and quick, and we spot a few deer on the way.

Our second year at Wingate. Tranquility beside Gull Pond. Call of the loons throughout the day. Spacious retreat that continues to satisfy! Unplug, enjoy. Our hiker haven.

My family and I had a great time this past week. The camp had everything we needed with a fully-equipped kitchen, spacious bedrooms, bathrooms and lots of seating in the dining area and living room. The kids loved jumping off the dock to swim and taking rides in the kayaks. The location is so much more quiet than the big lake but only a short drive into town. My only suggestion is a personal preference in that I would love to remove a few more trees around the dock so that the swimming area stays in the sun longer throughout the day. It makes it a little easier for little ones to jump in! We will definitely be back!

Our stay at Acadia Wingate Lodge on Gull Pond in the Rangeley Lakes area was a blend of relaxation and family fun. The lodge is situated on a pristine body of water facing a sunrise from the opposite side of the pond. The accommodations are clean and comfortable with tons of light from every angle. It has the feeling of being in the remote wilderness yet is very close to the town of Rangeley. We stayed on property with family with short trips for playground fun for the grandchildren. We enjoyed sunrises, kayaking, lawn games and looking out for wildlife. The calls of the loons were awesome. Worth the 5.5-hour trip.

Acadia Wingate is a secret gem! Tucked away on a very secluded dirt road yet minutes from downtown, Wingate is so quiet and tranquil. There are stunning views of the mountains, oodles of wildlife (eagles, loons, and osprey) and the lake was PERFECT for swimming. The house has been renovated and is spacious and clean. The cabin had plenty of firewood for the fire pit, 2 kayaks and 2 canoes and a wonderfully stocked kitchen. Internet was adequate but a little on the slow side; however this suited us just fine, as the whole point was to get away for technology. We will definitely be coming back!
