'Acadia Escape' a downtown home close to everything

Great location, easily walkable, good communication! Really enjoyed our stay

We had a great time at Acadia Escape. The house is homey, very clean and comfortable. The backyard picnic table is great for a meal or just relaxing with coffee. The hammock was a nice addition. Kitchen had everything we needed and the laundry seemed like new machines. The location is incredibly convenient, walking distance to restaurants, but still quiet on the side street. Definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at this property.The house was very clean and well equipped with everything necessary for a carefree vacation.The location was more than perfect. It was off the center of the town but close enough to shops and restaurants. Though at some distance so that we needed to walk to get to the Harbor Shore Path and other destinations. I have to mention the excellent shuttle service from the center of the town at Village Green to many destinations at the Acadia National Park.In fact, we had not touched our car from the day we arrives to Bar Harbor to the day we departed home. Thanks to the host who left many brochures about the town and surrounding, it made our vacation planning a bit easier. We did not come very well prepared, so the initial information was very helpful. Thank you, Audie also for the delicious blueberry jam that you left for us to taste one of the staples of Maine! All in all we left Bar Harbor carrying a memory of a beautiful vacation.

Perfect week away! Stayed with my husband, mother and mother in law. The home was exactly as pictured. Very well maintained and very clean. The home is in perfect walking distance to town and a very short drive to Acadia. Maryellen and August were very kind and accommodating. The home had everything you would need. We would love to stay here again in the furture. 10/10 would recommend.

We had a wonderful time here! Location was perfect and driveway was a huge plus. Easy walking distance to everything including a great park. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we could need. We loved the outdoor dining area and hammock. Backyard was great for kids to play as well. Host were great and super helpful. Overall wonderful stay and we would definitely stay here again!

This was a great home and “home base” - perfect location, walkable to everything downtown, and having parking at the house was priceless since we were there over the 4th of July holiday.

Maryellen and Augie’s spacious home is in a perfect location. They are lovely hosts who well maintain their home to serve their guests. You can when the buses are running park your car and not use it until you leave.

The rental was exactly as pictured in a cute neighborhood right near downtown Bar Harbor. The owner's were helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable, roomy house on a quiet street in the heart of Bar Harbor. Hosts Maryellen and Augie were great to deal with, and have thought of everything in terms of supplies - plates, flatware, utensils, cookware, spare towels, even a washer and dryer for long-term stays. The Town Green and Main Street, with its shops and restaurants, are just a short walk away. And off-street parking comes with the property! We can happily recommend staying here.

This was a great house to stay right near Bar Harbor shops and restaurants and close to Acadia for hiking. We loved it.

Property was very clean and as described. Had all the amenities needed for our week stay. It was very conveniently located and we could walk to most of the restaurants and shops in town. Would highly recommend staying here.

Loved being able to leave car in driveway and walk to town, or take the bus from the Village Green to the park. In busy times of the year, dealing with finding a parking spot is insanity, both in town and at the trail heads in the park. Less crazy about the only bathroom being upstairs, and the noise levels coming in from the street, even with windows closed. My knees were not happy to deal with the hike to the bathroom after hikes in the park. The stairs were well disclosed in the listing, however, and I simply did not anticipate them being problematic for our 60 ish year old knees.

The house had everything we needed! The location was great to walk into town and explore. Hosts were very nice and helpful.

House was as described, clean, and in great location for walks to park, Bar Harbor, and short trip into Acadia National Park. Highly recommend!

This property is in an amazing location for a trip to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Downtown Bar Harbor is a 5 minute walk away and Acadia is within a few miles drive. House is spacious with all the features/amenities you want in a home away from home. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our trip and this property was a great home base for our adventures. Hosts were also amazing with great communication. Highly recommended!

Super clean house, great location. It was exactly as pictured on the rental listing. Check in was simple. It is a great home base for exploring Bar Harbor (walk to everything!) and Acadia. We were so busy hiking, biking and enjoying the outdoors that we didn’t spend too much time in the house, but it was a relaxing and quiet spot for us to rest up for the next day’s activities. Definitely recommend! PS- Cafe This Way has the best pancakes!!

Acadia Escape is well-equipped and convenient. It is a 5-minute walk to the town square and the bus system. Your hosts, Maryellen and Augie, are warm and concerned about your comfort. I highly recommend their rental home.

Had a nice stay here. It was perfectly located close to Acadia park, trails, activities and for walking to downtown Bar Harbor. We weren’t home much except to sleep, but it was comfortable… except for one of our group w allergies.
