Stayed Aug 17, 2025Great place and huge! The rooms were all large, the kitchen was well stocked, it as nice having access to the garage, the beds were comfortable, the yard was wonderful for the dog. While it was a little outside of Durango, for our purposes it worked great. If you’re having a large group together this was a very nice retreat.

Stayed Jul 20, 2025Fabulous open space inside and out. Great yard for younger kids to play when we were at the property . Lots of seating for meals. Lots of beds avaliable as we were 3 families traveling. Close to Durango, million dollar hwy,Mesa Verde and Aztec ruins in New Mexico. However property had some maintenance upkeep that was needed. Broken countertop in kitchen did not reflect nightly rate we paid. This property met our needs and was well situated for us to relax after a long day of vacation tours. Very convenient for our day on Durango to Silverton railroad. Great floor plan!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This beautiful Hacienda Home has an open floor plan, modern appliances, and plenty of fenced yard for the dogs to play. We rode our motorcycles out to spend about a week exploring the 4 corners area. This was the perfect base camp, we went to Canyon de Chelly on the Navajo Nation, rode the million dollar highway, the Moki Dugway and everything in between. Our little dogs absolutely loved the very large fenced yard to play in. It was really nice to have a washer and dryer to enable us to pack much less clothing.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My family stayed in Hacienda House for 4 nights and had a lovely time. The house has a large living/dining room and kitchen which was a great place to gather. The kitchen has just about every appliance and utensil could ever need, so it was easy to make meals. And there is a huge smart TV in the living room, as well as all the bedrooms. All of the beds are quite comfortable as is the bedding. There are memory foam mattresses in the main bedroom as well as the back bedroom with the bunk beds. The other bedroom has a comfortable mattress with a base that can elevate the head of the bed and the foot. The master bathroom is very large as well. There is another full bathroom between the 2 other bedrooms which is good size. And the best part is the bathroom off the laundry room - it has an attached bidet with heated toilet seat! We did not have pets with us, but there is a big back yard that is fenced. The front area seems to be fenced as well. Your furry friends will be happy. The property management company is great to work with. I had to communicate with them a couple times about some questions and they responded quickly and made sure our needs were met. They have a nice system for checking in and out on line, and it has information about the house and local area. I'm sure you will enjoy your stay!

Stayed Aug 12, 2024so much noise from highway out front unable to sleep in 2 of 3 bedrooms. Had to take mattress off bed and sleep on it on the floor in the living room away from noise thru windows in bedroom. If this would have been a hotel I would have checked out after the first night.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Pros: The house is open with lots of room and very clean on the inside. It is well stocked and comfortable. It is pretty convenient to the Durango area. Indoors it is quiet with the windows and doors closed. The swamp cooler and low humidity kept the house cool and comfortable. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of parking. Cons: The house is located on a very busy highway. Very noisy with windows or doors opened or sitting on the front or back porches. The porches were dirty, and unkempt. Front porch rocker was propped against the wall and when moved the rocker leg broke, someone had put staples in it to try to fix the problem. An accident could have taken place if a child had climbed on the rocker. The outside lawn and garden areas needed attention. All were overgrown with weeds and very unattractive. It did not look like the pictures. Back porch doors….two rocks on the patio were the only things that kept these doors from opening (at times). The doors did not lock properly! These doors led in to what was listed as a 4th bedroom/office area that had a sleeper sofa in it. This was not a 4th bedroom and should not be listed as a 4 bedroom home. Both of the doors leading into the master bath and shower areas did not close or lock properly. Sharing this area with others was a bit discerning at times. Most of doors in the home need adjustment as the majority of them stick and are hard to open and close. The cheap blinds in the dining area and master bedroom need to be repaired or replaced. Summary: For the price we paid I expected a clean and secure place to stay. Every time we left for a day trip I worried about what we left in the unsecured home. I told the rental company of my concerns with the unlockable doors and they responded that they would 'discuss with the team, and address them as quickly as possible'. I believe they should have taken care of the issues while we were there. I have pictures I sent to them, but do not see a place to post on my review. I cannot recommend this rental to anyone until these problems have been resolved.
