This house, at 35 Janss Lane, is 5 homes from the very top of Wood Road, which runs up the center of the mountain. Our view incluces everything from Daly Peak to Sam's Knob, Big Burn, the Cirque, High Alpine and Elk Camp. The ski access takes you to the bottom of the SECOND lift, Coney Glade, letting you avoid all the crowds at the bottom of the mountain. Stayed Feb 28, 2026The home is in a beautiful location with spectacular views, and the owner was kind in allowing us a later checkout. Unfortunately, we were surprised to learn that the comforters are not washed between guests; when we arrived, ours had visible stains. Had we known this policy in advance, we would not have rented the home. We also encountered several sanitation concerns, including fecal matter next to a toilet paper holder, a blood-stained left on a bathroom wall, visible mold in the master shower, and multiple surfaces that appeared not to have been properly cleaned. We expected a much higher level of cleanliness, and future guests may want to clarify bedding and cleaning practices before booking.

Stayed Feb 14, 2026Excellent house for our extended family. Big common area for gatherings plus isolated bedrooms if you want your privacy. Ski-in/Ski-out for intermediate skiers. Five minute walk for less confident skiers. Easy run down to major lifts and gondola. Hot tub was a great muscle relaxer every evening. Very responsive and friendly host.
