A perfect fishing or hunting basecamp with spectacular mountain and river views

This unique home on the edge of Walden provides 3 cozy bedrooms, featuring a queen bed, a full bed, and 2 twin beds. A futon couch in the living room gives you more sleeping options. In the living room, a large picture window offers incredible views of the Sierra Madre and Neversummer ranges and the Illinois River below. Guests enjoy 2 bathrooms equipped with a shower, a bathtub and bidet. The hillside property has a country feel, including a wood stove in the living room you are welcome to use. The gigantic fenced yard is perfect for pet lovers. The kitchen is fully equipped and outdoor seating in the aspen grove is amazing in the summertime. You never know, a moose, deer or pronghorn could wander through! And you'll probably see hawks and eagles fly past the window.

This spacious home is perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking, fishing or hunting adventures. We're happy to rent by the week or month as well. Downtown Walden is within easy walking distance with lots of great restaurants, shopping, parks, a fitness gym, bowling alley, grocery stores and a pioneer museum.

We call this special place Flies Only Fishing Camp, named by Jay Edwards, the renowned bamboo rod builder who built collectible rods here and once owned an Orvis fly fishing store in town by the same name. The home is decorated with fly fishing antiques from Jay's collection.
