Perfect stay in this clean, well maintained cottage. David was a wonderful host. Highly recommend.
Beautiful and very clean! Nice welcoming touches! Beautiful view just wish the beach area was less rocky and more spacious to lounge or swim…. Overall very nice!!
The house was very nice., definetly the nicest home on the street. Small but very clean and had everything you need. The beds were very comfortable. On the two rainy days we had there were plenty of board games. Downtown Lexington was only 5 minutes away. The one drawback was the beach which was part of the association which we didn't know until we got the lease information. It was very rocky, no fault of the owners. My husband and I borrowed a rake from the neighbors and spent hours removing rocks to make it nice.
First impression of beach, all neighbors (over 12 homes) shared beach and it was crowed. As days rolled on into a week, we were able to have more isolated time on beach/lake access. Add mentioned and only showed three homes to share beach. We had a relaxing time just watching the boats, freighters, etc on Lake Huron. No sheets available for pull out bed in couch and TV internet, played one minute then froze for five making it difficult to watch movies at night. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and hopefully met his expectations of leaving the home in a clean fashion. Thank you for allowing us the visit. Would recommend to others. One last mention the town of Lexington closed down on Tuesdays for religious reason, which is a new one for us. Other sites like in Croswell - flea market and Western town were non-existent but that was the fault of the businesses not updating the internet sites they advertise in the 15 hot spots to visit.
David was great! Answered any questions promptly. It was a great house. The beach was just down the hill. Great neighbors. Couple next door were awesome.
The cottage was immaculate and even better in person than in the photos. There was a beautiful view of Lake Huron from the deck and a gently sloped walk down the nearby small bluff led to the crystal clear waters of the lake. We enjoyed rock hunting and sitting on the beach reading, though there were some pesky flies. The owner contacted us before and during our visit to ask if we had any questions, and to make sure we had what we needed. There was a delightful breakfast place, Bush's, very close. The neighbors were friendly and introduced us to their cat, Scooter. All in all it was a wonderful getaway, just an hour and a half from our home. Thank you David!
As advertised. Quiet and relaxing. Great neighbors.
The renter was very helpful and thorough. The house was very clean and beautiful. The view from their deck was breathtakingly beautiful! The neighborhood is very quiet and the neighbors were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back in the future.
The house was very nice. It had everything we needed and we basically stayed here the entire vacation. The owner is very nice and communicates extremely well. The view of the lake was obstructed by a commercial boon truck that had residue on it from winter. The neighbor across the road was rebuilding his home and the hammering was constant every morning. . The lake opens to a sandbar that is great for swimming and the local neighbors who share the beach seem reluctant, yet friendly to engage. I would hate for my; less than stellar, outlook on Lexington as a hot vacation spot to discredit the beauty and functionality of this home. The owner owns the nicest house on the block. I probably won't stay again, but I will recommend it if you are staying in the area. It's a true gem.
We had a great stay at this lake cottage. Lake view from the deck, clean and tidy and we had all the amenities we needed! We would definitely rent here again.
