Beard Bungalow: Lakefront Home on Lake Greenwood - Cross Hill, SC

Clean, but need to pay better attention to insects. There was a wasp trap that eventually made it bad to stay. The host was not able to eliminate the problem so we had to vacate.

Quiet, nice location. Comfortable beds.

We had a great time staying at the Beard Bungalow, it was the first time I had gotten the whole family together in a long time and it was so much fun to have them all together! Thank you for the the great place to stay to make memories!

House was very clean and had everything we would need plus several extra things that we did not use, several really nice perks. The property was well kept and someone mowed the grass during our stay while we were away from the house. We had no problems while there, so no need to contact owners, but they gave us all the contact info we would need to contact them and they communicated with us prior to arriving, Would definitely stay there again.

Great location on lake for family weekend. Very responsive owner. Easy access land and water. Will stay again.

So much fun!!! The house is very clean. Too hot to hang out on the porch or use the fire pit, but the inside was very comfortable. Appliances available and in good working order for cooking. Comfy beds! Convenient location for our family. Enjoyed Skippers floating jungle gym and the beach area. Water is shallow at the dock , not complaining, just making other guest aware. Overall it was a great time at the Beard Bungalow!!! Looking forward to another visit!!!

Excellent experience. Very nice and peaceful. Host were very responsive to questions prior arrival. Could not have asked for anything better. Exactly what our heart and minds needed!!!

Our son got married at Hollow Oak Farm, a venue 5 minutes away from from the house. The location for us was perfect. The house was clean, neat and the bedroom linens comforters and beds were comfortable and cozy. The kitchen was nicely stocked with anything needed. We did not walk out to the dock but we did enjoy our breakfast on the back porch. We heard and saw a lot of fish activity. A friend of ours that lives on the lake was going to come say hi ,but the cove was to shallow to get his boat to the dock. The houses are very close in the area however it was quiet. Our grandson enjoyed seeing some farm animals across the road. Josh and Whitney were great to work with!! Thank you for sharing your lake house with us!

Our 4 night stay was very comfortable at this very clean bungalow. Neighboring houses were vacant/not kept up but we preferred the quiet so it worked out. Nice area to ride bikes, fish on the dock, bring kayaks - the water was @ 6” low during our early April trip but you could still tie up a pontoon boat or jet skis. Fire pit was nice but no wood was provided which can probably be purchased at a convenient store. We only used 2 of the 4 bedrooms which were comfortable. Laundry area was a plus as this was the second VRBO of a long trip. Wifi worked great. Plenty of towels including for outdoors. A few minor suggestions would be lamps on the master bedroom nightstands with a plug for phone charging. None of us could get phone service but the wifi provided Audio Calling/FaceTime. A few simple products in the kitchen such as sandwich bags and plastic wrap (there was only tinfoil in the drawer) would’ve been helpful as those are items I don’t typically bring to a VRBO. An area rug at the main entrance for wiping shoes, but a broom was provided so I was able to keep it clean. There was a major issue with carpenter bees upon arrival on the porch, but Josh had someone come out that evening and 95% were gone. Many signs around the house were helpful with wifi password, how to use the oven, directions to closest stores, etc. as every home is a little different. Overall a comfortable, great stay. Great communication with Josh which was a plus!
