A Frame of Mind at Chelan Vacation Rentals

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This little house is gorgeous and had everything you need, except a bar-b-a. It was lovely & clean & close to a great pool. I came here for a much needed rest. My partner died after a long struggle & I needed to have a vacation (first one in 19 years). Sadly I got no rest. The fire alarms kept going off. I called and someone came out and fixed them. Then they started again. I got someone out, they fixed them. Then the same happened again. Alarms went off for 4 of the five days I was there. Waking me up every night and starting again at 5am in morning. Eventually I was so fed up I asked them to disconnect them. It was really bad for my dog, the shrill noise send him crazy & scared & everday I had to be there to let service guys in, so my vacation was ruined. I understand the batteries can go, but 5 service calls & trying to sort out each day made for a very unpleasant stay. I get it, it can happen but maybe two call outs, but by 5th time I’d had enough. I only got one day of peace. It didn’t help that I had just had a horrific car accident and had concussion and severe headaches and had come for some quiet - I had none and had to deal with my dog being scared too. Plus I got severe bites all over my body. Might want to check for bed bugs! So lovely place, but a disastrous visit, that was very expensive for the lack of rest. Gone home even more depleted, with awful bites all over my legs, arms and torso.

The beds are comfortable and the location is very convenient. We've stayed at the Lookout many times and this is our favorite spot.

They had a great area our front for the dogs to play.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived and the home had a flies everywhere inside. I would estimate about 30 flies and some other flying insects. Took about 3 days to swat them all to their deaths. The toilet paper holders in all 3 bathrooms were not installed correctly so the paper roll would slide off. Wi-Fi could be better.If it wasn’t for those two big issues, the stay was fine.

Quiet. Clean. If you plan on sitting at the picnic table at night it could use hanging lights like others have. If you are bringing a baby know that the main room has shades except for the top window so baby will not sleep well if used to black out curtains.
