A Fountain Hills Gem, Pool, BBQ, Fireplace, Bar, Views!

My wife and I very much enjoyed our six week stay at this home in Fountain Hills. Our daughter and niece joined us for about a week, the four of us were very comfortable in this spacious 3 bedroom home. Great backyard patio in a quiet neighborhood. Home was very clean and well appointed. Convenient to the center of Fountain Hills and to Scottsdale. The property manager is excellent, very responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommend this home.

I booked this Fountain Hills home, Casa Highland, well in advance and as required paid for it in full before I arrived.I was contacted via email by Wes, from latitude 8, as my host. He sent me the necessary information with standard check in time at 3:00. Since I was in Scottsdale before my rental date Wes suggested I check in early and we agreed 2 days before my check in date, on an 11:00 check in time.Here is where the NIGHTMARE begins, ONE HOUR, before I was due to check in, at 10:00, Wes calls me and says I cannot check in because the “house was not rentable”! WTH!No good explanation. He offered only1 option that was in Kierland and did not compare on any level, views, house, location, etc. and it was less expensive but they would not offer to refund the price differential. I refused and insisted on a full refund. Not only did this negatively impact my airline reservations, car rental, insurance purchased, but also my family members travel, vacation plans, it was a total CLUSTER…This home is rented by Latitude 8 vacation rentals and I would strongly suggest VRBO reconsider this partnership or due more due diligence so they won’t negatively impact VRBO’s reputation. ONE HOUR notice of a cancellation is unacceptable by anyone’s standard, especially when airline travel is involved.I was required to rate cleanliness of property but I can’t say because I never got to stay there.

From morning Keurig coffee to grilling at night with friends, Casa Highland was just the right snowbird retreat for us. We found check in with Latitude 8 seamless and the house well stocked with bath and cleaning essentials upon arrival. Our first evening was spent enjoying the patio as we watched the light changing on the mountain ranges. The shadows lengthen and give way to stars in this Fountain Hills dark sky community, truly a lovely area. Landscaping was bursting with colorful blooms, lemon & lime trees in season, and the pool protected from the morning breeze. The split floor plan has beautiful decor in the open kitchen and living areas with a comfortable master suite. One bay of the garage was open for our use and bikes a fun surprise. We look forward to staying at Casa Highland again.
