It was a little ways out of town, but we liked that because it was not a busy area. The only difficulty we had was locking the door. Even when lifting the door handle, it was very hard to turn the lock.

We didn't have good beach weather while we were here, but this beach had the most shells I have ever seen. There was streaming TV, as well as games and puzzles so we kept ourselves entertained. What I really enjoyed was the laidback, not busy atmosphere on the Peninsula. Quite a contrast from the Galveston island atmosphere. We ate one night at the Fins restaurant at the Margaritaville RV resort - highly recommend! Overall, we enjoyed our relaxing stay, and are already planning next year's trip.

Beautiful home but did not like the check in/out process.

We went on a bay fishing trip and caught speckled trout and one red fish. Stingaree restaurant did not disappoint, the seafood was fresh and plentiful. We brought side by sides and were able to ride up and down the beach. I would recommend this property to all my friends and family.

Freight elevator breaking was a problem with 3 flights of stairs taking our stuff in & out. We loved the home, very cozy. The road was a bit noisy.

The swings on the 2nd floor were a hit! The beach is across the highway, but the entrance is right there and you can walk it. The home was clean and decorated well. Rent the lift! It is 3 floors lolThe home had everything you need. We would definitely recommend this home and stay here again and stay with Swede's again! Thank you!

All of the amenities were very nice as well. One of our favorite features was the second floor and the porch swings...the view was amazing!

Reviewer Comments: Beautiful location across the street from a beach entrance, but our stay had some problems.Gross discovery: Upon check-in, my daughter found dirty men's underwear between the sofa cushions (you have to reach between the cushions to locate the sofa recliner). I contacted management but heard nothing. Sleepless night: The second night, faulty fire alarms blared repeatedly, waking us up. We contacted the after hours number and had to wait for a maintenance person to come. He was kind and helpful but had to disable all the fire alarms in the house to prevent them from going off anymore. Again I heard nothing from property management about either issue we experienced during our stay. Poor customer service not checking in with a customer knowing there were issues with a property in the night. The only communication I've received now are multiple requests to review the property.. so, here it is. We won't be back.

It is in a quiet, not overly populated area and easy access to the beach. The use of the lift was definitely worth the additional charge.
