Stayed Dec 23, 2025The RV was typical for an RV. Not something everyone is going to like. We loved it and its surroundings. You could see the sunrise from inside if you didn’t want to bundle up and go outside. The views are spectacular. The stars abundant. The little store next door very helpful.

Stayed Apr 28, 2024I slept more sound here than I have in years due to the quiet and dark. The beds were very comfortable, including the pull out sofa.

Stayed Oct 19, 2023This is a very private desert property. Its not big on amenities. What it offers is a beautiful view of the night skies. A nice fire pit and plenty of solitude. We arrived on motorcycles and with the help of goggle earth it wasn't too difficult to find. We rode all day and sat around the campfire at night. Other than the occasional traveler passing by on the 118 we saw nobody. Theres a little general store nearby that closes promptly at 6:30. If you want to separate the kids from their cell phones and gadgets this is the place for you.

Stayed Oct 6, 2025A little disappointed upon arrival. We could not get in, lock was jammed or something like it. We called for help, and it came quickly. Once inside, it appeared no one had been in it for a while. The bathroom and kitchen area had quite a few creepy crawlies, mostly daddy longlegged spiders. Also needed help getting the wi-fi up, which was also resolved quickly. We had not planned on cooking much, but would like to have used the oven. We could not get it on as the instructions in the booklet did not seem to match the oven that was there.Outside on the patio, birds had built nests in the covered shelter. There was evidence all around. We did however bring our own chairs. In spite of all the little issues, we did enjoy our stay. It was perfectly located for our purposes, about 20 miles north of the Study Butte/Terlingua area. It is an isolated spot, perfect for wanting to get away from it all!

Stayed Mar 31, 2025We enjoyed our stay. Nice views. The camper had everything we needed. We especially liked the outside seating area. Our only real complaint is that it is located farther from Terlingua (25 minutes) and Big Bend (40 minutes) than we thought. This can be good or bad depending on what you are looking for.

Stayed Apr 21, 2025We enjoyed the remoteness but it was centrally located for our purpose. We enjoyed the dark skies, the sun rise and sun set.

Stayed Apr 7, 2025The location is amazing. The views both at night and during the dawn/dusk times are worth being away from town. The RV is really all anyone would want for a couple. Be aware that the layout of the RV has steps that are a challenge for anyone with any walking disabilities. Everything else is wonderful.

Stayed Mar 10, 2025The property is great, especially if you are accustomed to staying in an RV. The indoor and outdoor spaces are comfortable and inviting with amazing views of the sunrise over the mountains. The kitchen space is clean and stocked well enough to prepare most meals. Everything works as it should. The only downside to our experience was a pretty noticeable odor during our stay. At first it just seemed like the kind of smell you notice the first time visiting someone's house, but over the course of the three nights we stayed it seemed to become a stronger odor. I can not fault the owner because we did not contact them regarding the smell since it didn't really affect our stay. It was honestly not even that noticeable until the second or third night. Overall, it is a great property and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has been in an RV or can read and follow simple directions for using appliances and the like.

Stayed Mar 15, 2025The camper was exactly as described. We enjoyed the peaceful and quiet evenings on the patio. Did not use the stove or oven but we did use the outdoor gas grill. The propane heater worked great to take off the morning chill.Would stay here again without hesitation.Thank you.

Stayed Nov 27, 2024I wasn’t expecting luxury but it would have been nice if everything in the trailer worked. We followed directions and had no trouble finding it. The trailer was wide open so no need to locate the key right away. All doors and windows were open letting in a white coating of dust over everything. We were hoping to grill out since we spent $30 replacing an empty propane tank but the outside lights didn’t work and it was too dark to see what we were doing. We cooked dinner inside but there were no lights in the kitchen area making it difficult. The next day a cold front had us lighting a propane heater inside the trailer that was provided because the central heater doesn’t work. We had to open up the windows because the smell of gas was so strong. No carbon monoxide detector so turned it off to get a few hours of sleep. We did notify the property manager by leaving a message at the local store. Not sure what they could have done really. I think the trailer needs an overhaul. Anyway we checked out a day early because it was so uncomfortable and wanted a good meal and a safe night sleep.

Stayed Oct 12, 2024We had the best time! It was wonderful to have the Little Burro Country Store close by. I loved how remote it felt and yet how close it was to services in Terlingua. The place was well appointed, clean, and beautiful. Everyone involved in hosting was gracious and kind. We will be back!
