Have stayed in Orleans many times but not in this area. Unfortunately we didn’t have a great week of weather but the location was great to take advantage of Arey’s Pond. Wheeled kayaks and SUPS down road about 4/5 minutes walk. Saw a couple seals which startled my sister. Caught a fair amount of blue crabs. Short drive into town. Nice little home gym and multiple tvs to stream entertainment. Nice backyard, deck, and outdoor shower. Would definitely stay here again.
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family rents a house at the Cape for a week every summer. We've stayed in 4 other houses before 2022 which was our first year at 12 Arey's Lane. We love this house and were happy to return this year.My husband and I have two adult children and 5 grandkids ages 7-15 who love this time together as much as we do. A few reasons why we may look for a larger house next year:There may be 2 additional kids and one additional adult next year.My son and his wife were in the basement bedroom this year and found the beds there to be significantly uncomfortable. We could use a much larger ( or additional ) refrigerator/freezer as we bring most of our own food and the existing fridge has limited space. Here's why other should enjoy this house:10 minutes from Nauset Beach - our family's favorite beach by far. Also located close to the Orleans Cardinals Field ( a fun place to bring a picnic and enjoy a baseball game - and it's free!)and not far from Stop and Shop and TJ Maxx.Orleans is kind of in the center of the Cape so getting to P town or towns closer to the mainland is not excessively difficult. We contacted the property manager for a minor issue and received a very prompt response and resolution.Just down the road from the house is a pond where you can do kayak and paddle board tours with guides in the evening (the paddle boards and kayaks have lighting along the bottoms. This was such a hit with our kids last year that we were looking forward to doing it again - unfortunately our two reservations needed to be cancelled due to weather. There is an outdoor shower that the kids (and adults) love and it gets lots of sand off before coming in the house. The yard is large and the kids love playing out there.
We really enjoyed our vacation in the Orleans house. Truly Cape Cod style house, super comfortable, great communication with the company that manages the house. We were about 10 people between children and adults and had a blast. The house is very conveniently located with quick access to the National Shore beaches which are our absolute favorites in the Cape. We enjoyed kayaking and stand up paddle in walking distance-Arey´s pond. Fully equipped with the exception of the linens and towels, read all the details of the house until the end. I didn´t and realized late that I had to bring 10 sets of linens and towels. It was not a big deal and would bring everything over again to enjoy this beautiful house, ideal for a family vacation! Thanks!
I have nothing but positive comments about this property. It was perfect for my family !!!
Wonderful house to stay for 2 weeks. Great kitchen, well equipped, central Air, lots of room. Nice outdoor space. We were close to the Pond but had to haul kayaks down each time which wasn't ideal. The only down side was that you can't swim in Arey's Pond. It's really just for boat launching.
The house fit 9 of us very comfortably. They yard and outdoor shower were a nice bonus. Walking to the pond and the use of the kayaks was also very nice.
