Shell Knob, Missouri
Enjoy a secluded lake front cabin on beautiful Table Rock Lake in Shell Knob, Missouri. You'll drive to the cabin, thru a tree covered road for about 1 mile and then on a private gravel road for 1/4 mile. The cabin has two comfortable queen beds in one bedroom, and a comfortable full bed in a bedroom, sleeping six. If you need them there are two sleeper sofas in the great room, plus two auto blow-up mattresses, which provides sleeping places for eight plus. It has a full kitchen with a ton of space for all your groceries, two full bathrooms, 2 TV's, a washer and dryer, and dishwasher. Its hidden, but conveniently located maybe a mile from the grocery store, an antique & liquor store and the local restaurants in town. It is approximately 45 minutes to Silver Dollar City, Dog Wood Cannon, Roaring River State Park, Golden Pioneer Museum and Eureka Springs, Arkansas. The outside space has amazing views of the Lake and Shell Knob Bridge. Guests have commented they enjoyed eating and drinking coffee on the deck sitting in the glider or at the table that seats eight. The Shell Knob bridge is a popular boating destination on the lake and its fun watching all the boaters and skiers go by, in addition to the fishermen. Just below the deck is more seating with a fire pit. Sometimes all you need is a little lake time with a fire. The Tablerock Lake is noted as #1 in the nation because the Federal Corp of Engineers maintains ultimate care of the environment. Therefore, you can dock a boat at Campbell Point (campbellpointmarina.com), or Kings River (kingsrivermarina.com), which are 5 - 10 minutes from the cabin, and very convenient. The marinas are full service and offer boat/jet ski rentals, boat slip rentals, swimming on very nice sandy beaches, fishing and wonderful restaurants out on the lake during summer months. The Hideaway is on its own well water. Sometimes people find they don't care for the taste of well water so it's not a bad idea to bring some drinking water. But hey, the grocery store is less than a mile away if you decide you want bottled water, I've even had guests walk through the tree covered entry road to the grocery. We allow ONE pet with your stay (including pet rent). Your pet MUST come with a kennel. There are 2 permanent residencts year-round on the gravel road, and 4 courteous neighbors with summer homes, whose guests use the seperate and adjacent properties to the cabin. Thanks for checking out the HideAway. Please feel free to contact me with any questions so I can help provide you with a wonderful vacation in the Ozarks for your family and guests.
Had everything we needed for our stay. Quiet and secluded with beautiful view.
For a last minute booking, it served our needs. Location was nice, close to several local restaurants and a grocery store, and the marina for our boat just a few miles down the road. Plenty of paper goods, linens and comfortable beds for our family of 4. Nice peek views of the lake and bridge. Yard space for the dog was nice and open, but a bit tricky to get down to. Neighboring houses are very close. Their lake access takes those residents through this house's walkway and carport, leaving privacy at a minimum. The cabin is very outdated, and I think it could have been much cleaner. The bathrooms, especially showers, felt a bit grimy, the kitchen wares had an odor and film I think from unuse, and several stains on carpet. Seemed overpriced for the product, but again, worked for our family last minute and we really enjoyed our time on the lake.
We’ll be back.
This is the second time we’ve stayed in the cabin is very clean and organized. The owner is very friendly and easy to work with. We love the fact that it feels like a lake cabin! We have been coming to table rock for years and enjoy the nostalgia of the lake cabin vibe! Great open space for your family to enjoy. Love the outdoor area And all the amenities very close to shell knob and easy access to anywhere you need to go on the lake
Pretty quiet neighborhood. Nice view of lake & Shell Knob bridge. House had everything we needed.
Great communication with host.
Nice owners who were helpful.
What a great place! The cabin is very spacious. My teens enjoyed the lake, roasting marshmallows by the fire, and loved being surrounded by scenic views. The kitchen was fully stocked and spacious. Great for those of us that like to cook. We explored the Talking Rocks Cavern, fishing at Table Rock Lake and hiking Whittaker Point. Thanks for the great vacation.
Loved being able to sit on the large deck each day for coffee or a meal and enjoy the view of the lake scenery. Saw eagles and a fox. The location was so peaceful. The kitchen was well stocked with all the needed utensils. If at all possible we will be planning another trip to this cabin. Lois was so kind in making sure we had all we required to make our stay enjoyable.
This cabin is so cozy and welcoming!. I live in Florida, and travel to Shell Knob a couple of times a year to spend quality time with my family, who live in the High Dive neighborhood on Table Rock Lake. I have chosen to stay at this cabin many times when visiting family. In fact, we already have reserved for the July 2023!. I definitely am a repeat customer! The cabin is always pristinely clean, and very comfortable. The cabin has a beautiful view of Table Rock Lake. The cabin is very roomy, and everything you may need for your stay is provided! Lois, the property owner, is vey welcoming, and makes sure everything is perfect for our stay. I plan on staying again many times in the future.
The cabin was private and yet very accessible to Shell Knob. It was clean and comfortable. Thank you, Lois, for staying in touch with us during our stay.
Was a great stay and nice place. Little on the small side but worked great for us
Had a great time playing at the lake with my daughter and family!
Was a great little home away from home!! Would defiantly recommend to family and friends. And also rent again for our family!!
Overall this house was okay for the price. It was clean, we had beds to sleep in, having a washer and dryer were nice and it was nice to have all dishes, silverware and pots and pans there. However the house is not private as the listing boasts there were people walking between the houses on either side of us and sometimes walking directly next to our windows. There is a hole in the floor by the kitchen sink. One of the showers works great but the other shower runs out of hot water about 8 minutes in even if no one else had showered. There are also only 2 window ac units to cool the whole house.
It was wonderful to work with Lois! We had an issue with the bathroom and she responded quickly to solve the problem.
Plenty of space, and everything we could have possibly needed was there for us. I had hoped when it said lake front we could have walked out to the lake to swim and fish but we could not . That was my only problem. Our host was wonderful to work with…responsive and helpful. Great mini vacation .
We have stayed at this same property for the past 5 or 6 years and absolutely love it. Location to the grocery store and lake is perfect especially with family staying at the nearby Campbell Point campgrounds. Lois is always so accommodating and easy to work with. Expect to be staying here for years to come!
Great little lake cabin with a nostalgic vibe. We throughly enjoyed our stay and Lois was very helpful! We will be back!!
