‼️IMPORTANT POOL UPDATE (Summer 2026): The community pool is currently closed due to an unexpected leak requiring HOA repairs. At this time, the HOA has not provided a reopening date. We will update this listing as soon as more information becomes available.

Picture this: golden hour spills across the Blue Ridge, two hot tubs bubble on the patio, and laughter drifts from the game room as the smell of burgers wafts from the grill. Tonight, 25 of your favorite people areunder one roof. Tomorrow, Sugar Mountain is five minutes away, Grandfather Mountain twenty, and Boone a quick thirty. This is the lodge that turns reunions into traditions and ski trips into the story your group still tells five years later.

The Space
Step inside the newly redesigned Blue Ridge Mountain Lodge and you'll feel the hush of the mountains immediately — vaulted ceilings, nature-themed art, and that lived-in warmth that says stay a while.

Resort Exclusives
✔ Two private hot tubs (seats 14 total)
✔ Custom-built fire pit
✔ Shared heated community pool (across the street)
✔ Community tennis courts
✔ Arcade machine, pool/billiards table, Infinity Game Table
✔ Two 5-burner BBQ grills on the deck
✔ Direct hiking trail access from the property

Two living rooms anchor the home. The main room invites you onto plush leather sofas around a gas fireplace with a 65 Roku Smart TV — the spot where everyone ends up after dinner. A second sitting room with a 55 TV gives the night-owls and the early-risers their own space.

The chef's kitchen was built for a crowd. Two refrigerators, two cooktops, two dishwashers, three coffee makers, an air fryer, instant pot, and a spice rack mean nobody fights for counter space. A dedicated coffee bar handles the morning rush.

When it's time to eat, two locally-made live-edge dining tables seat all 25 guests together — no kids' table, no overflow.

- Game room: Pac-Man and NBA Jam arcades, billiards, and an Infinity Game Table with dozens of digital games
- 9 bedrooms, each with a private en-suite bath: 4 kings, 3 queens, a queen+twin, a kids' room with twins and trundles, plus a primary suite with a king and two pull-out sofas
- 9.5 baths stocked with fresh towels, makeup towels, hairdryers, and toiletries
- Two new hot tubs on the back patio — soak up to 14 people at once under the stars
- Custom stone fire pit with seating for s'mores and storytelling
- Covered porch with two 5-burner BBQ grills and a picnic table
- Pack-and-plays, plastic kid dishware, and high chair for the little travelers
- High-speed Wi-Fi, two washers, two dryers, central heat and AC throughout

LOCATION & WHAT'S NEARBY

The property is located in Banner Elk in Mill Ridge, a former ski community. Many of the ski trails are now used as hiking trails. One trail entrance is located right next to the driveway. A short 10-minute hike to the top will reveal a surprise from the past! There are ponds, streams, and trails throughout the community for you to enjoy.
The property’s convenient location and small-town charm offer a wonderful ambiance and a place to relax and refresh. It provides a perfect escape from the everyday hustle and bustle of the big city crowds.

Marvel at the gorgeous mountain settings while relaxing on the porch, or venture into Boone, Banner Elk, and Beech Mountain to discover many exciting attractions and landmarks.

- Sugar Mountain Resort (5 min) — skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, and snow tubing in winter; lift-served hiking, scenic chairlift rides, and disc golf in summer
- Beech Mountain Resort (15 min) — North Carolina's highest ski resort, plus a legendary downhill mountain biking park and direct Blue Ridge Parkway access
- Grandfather Mountain (20 min) — the famous mile-high swinging bridge, wildlife habitats, and some of the most photographed views in the Southeast
- Blue Ridge Parkway (20 min) — overlooks, picnic spots, and waterfall hikes along America's most scenic drive
- Valle Crucis (20 min) — pastoral riverside beauty and the Original Mast General Store, a 19th-century time capsule
- Linville Falls & Linville Gorge (30 min) — multi-tiered waterfalls and the Grand Canyon of the East for serious hikers
- Boone, NC (30 min) — Appalachian State, downtown shops, breweries, and farm-to-table dining
- Tweetsie Railroad (30 min) — the Wild West family theme park kids beg to come back to
- Local golf courses, fly-fishing guides, horseback riding, and apple orchards round out the calendar

WHO THIS HOME IS BEST FOR

- Multi-generational family reunions where grandparents, parents, and grandkids each get their own en-suite
- Corporate retreats and team off-sites that need real working Wi-Fi, breakout rooms, and a memorable group dinner
- Ski and snowboard groups stacking up at Sugar and Beech all weekend
- Bachelorette and bachelor (age 25+) wanting hot tubs, a game room, and zero drive to the slopes

PARKING

Free on-site parking is available right at the lodge for at least 10 vehicles, so caravans, multi-family groups, and ski-rack SUVs all fit comfortably.

HOUSE RULES

We keep the lodge welcoming for everyone by sticking to a few simple rules:

- Minimum age to book: 25 years old
- No pets — we love them too, but the home isn't set up for them
- No smoking inside or outside the property (cleaning fees apply)
- Signed Rental Agreement required to confirm your booking
- Check-in after 4:00 PM, checkout by 10:00 AM
- Quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM out of respect for the Mill Ridge neighbors
- No parties or events beyond the registered guest count — exterior security cameras at entrances and parking only (never interior or private outdoor areas)

We'll be a quick message away the entire stay. Welcome to the High Country.

Guest access
You'll have exclusive access to the entire 9-bedroom lodge and the full one-acre property, including both hot tubs, the fire pit, the game room, the patio, and the BBQ area. Self check-in is easy — a digital keypad code is sent before arrival, so your group can roll in on its own schedule.
As guests of the Mill Ridge community, you also have access to the seasonal swimming pool (Memorial Day to Labor Day), tennis courts, basketball hoop, and swing set across the street.
A signed Rental Agreement is required to confirm your booking.

Other things to note
We believe in giving our guests complete privacy to enjoy their mountain getaway. We will not be present during your stay, but we are always available via the messaging app or phone if you have any questions or need assistance. Our goal is to ensure you have a seamless and memorable experience.

✔ Rental Agreement: To finalize your reservation, guests are required to review and sign our standard Rental Agreement.

✔ NO PETS ALLOWED
We love those little (and not so little) furry bundles of joy. Sadly, our home is not suitable to accommodate them.

✔ NO SMOKING INSIDE AND OUTSIDE
Please refrain from smoking inside and outside the home! Any smoking evidence will result in odor removal and furniture cleaning fees.

Thank you very much for your understanding.

Important: Guests are required to accept and sign a Rental Agreement in order to confirm their booking.

Mike, our host, was super helpful and communicated well. The layout of the house worked realy well for our large family 20 including lots of littles. We loved how well stocked the home was which made us feel at home. The 2 highchairs, 2 refrigerators, 2 dishwashers, and 2 very large (beautiful) kitchen tables were super helpful! The back yard was cozy with the firepit. We didn't get to use the firepit because NC had a Burn Ban at the time but we made a s'mores bake instead and it was delicious. The host had left a nice welcome sign and s'mores gift basket. Such a sweet, personal touch! The tennis courts, tiny basketball court, swings and creek right across the road were a big hit! We had a great time!! Thanks!

Our large friend/family group had the best time at the Lodge! It's not easy to find a place that can accomodate our combined 14 children and 5 adult couples so well. This place is not only beautiful, it was clean, communication was excellent, and we have already started talking about coming back. Highly recommend!

This was the absolute perfect house for our group of four families to celebrate together. We had adults, kids, and teens, and the layout could not have been better. There was plenty of space for everyone to gather, laugh, and spend time together, while still allowing each family and individual to have their own private space. Everyone having their own bathroom was a huge bonus and made the stay incredibly comfortable. Our host, Mike, was wonderful! Communication and planning was easy and timely, and the home was spotless upon arrival. The kids had so much fun exploring the area, and the location itself was truly perfect for our trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better place and would absolutely stay here again!

We loved the size of the house with a bathroom for every bedroom, the different living rooms, and the game room. There was a little more wear and tear than the pictures showed and we had trouble with a few things not usable, including the hot tubs, but the owner was very responsive and even had a technician come work on them. There was some disappointment that the hot tubs didn’t work the whole time, but we still had a good time all being there together. The app with all the property information was nice to have available and I appreciated how communicative the owner was. We enjoyed hiking up the old ski hill behind the property to find the abandoned ski lift at the top as well. We would consider staying here again.

The place was huge and perfect for big groups. We loved the amount of parking available, the easy access to the neighborhood amenities, and the spacious rooms. The place could have been vacuumed better and the pull out couch beds did not seem to have been opened up & cleaned as we found tissues and crumbs upon opening the pull out. However, we quickly fixed that ourselves and had a great stay. Aside from that, the place was perfect and we would come back again!

Very nice home with everything you need! All the cooking essentials, 2 living room, nice game room, large dining room tables to fit us all in one room was so nice! The fire pit was perfect for the chill evenings. The kids nook in one of the bedrooms was so cute and kept them entertained. Having double / washer dryers were nice as well. Loved it! Only recommendation is some new mattresses and on demand water heater. Other than that, it’s perfect! And we will most likely be back next year!!

The owner even provided extra towels for the pool and hot tubs. We had a great time using the fire pit too. Altho some of the Adirondack chairs around the pit were not fully assembled, we really didn't need them since there was ample built-in seating. There was plenty of space for the entire family to be together or hang out in small groups as there were several sitting areas along with the front deck and backyard. What a lovely home to spend a fun week in!

HahaThe owner was SUPER responsive and wonderful to all of our needs. There is tons of parking. There are things to do inside and out. There is space to gather all together and space to spread out to be on your own. The tennis courts could definately use a lot of attention, plus they need pickleball lines. But we still used them and were very happy. The pool is great and everything is walking distance. Thank you for a super enjoyable week!

It was large enough to feel like we weren’t on top of each other, but was also cozy and plenty of entertaining space for all of us to gather. The kids loved the playroom, hot tubs, and sledding down the big hill in the back yard. Close enough to both ski resort towns and Boone to not feel like long drives. Hot tubs were great after a long day of skiing. We cooked a lot of our meals at the house and they had everything you could think of for cooking ware, spices, dinnerware’s for all ages. We held my parent's 50th wedding anniversary here and it was fantastic! We had a large group (22) and the beauty of this place is that it has 9 bedrooms each with it's own bathroom so each family had their own privacy which is super unique in my experience. In addition to that, we never felt like we were on top of one another as there is plenty of space/common area in the living room, deck or outside by the firepit. Access to the pool and tennis courts were no problem and the town/grocery store was less than five miles away. Mike the owner made it special for my family by having a Happy Anniversary sign and two bottles of wine to greet my parents when they came in! I'd highly recommend this place for your next large gathering in the beautiful Banner Elk.
