Needs complete updating. For an average cost of three hundred dollars a night, house should have something nice. Small tv, 1 1/2 cup coffee pot, old furniture, no landscaping except for rotting wood, torn carpet, no cleaning supplies, etc.
Good
It was great until we went into the beds.the beds had dog or cat hair and it was everywhere and that's not all the drawers were almost coming out completely if you opened it!we couldn't go into the garage which sucked but that's okay and the couch and well basically the whole house has dog/cat hair and it's white hair so yeah be careful for that.but overall the stay was okay and I would stay there if you don't care about dog hair on you everyday.i give the whole stay a 3 out of 5 rating
We were traveling to Hot Springs Village with dogs to visit friends and we appreciate the fact that homeowners allow us to rent their property but we almost left after the first day. I don't know what can be done but the musty smell is overwhelming! The carpets were stained badly. Sure wish there wasn't carpet in the bathrooms!
The past reviews were right on. The mildew smell was strong.... With allergies it took few days to get it somewhat no mildew smell. To get mildew smell, somewhat tolerable, we put the humidifier on, turned air down, put bathroom fan vents on and sprayed Lysol, which we brought. The grill had rusted hole on bottom so we couldn't use and outdoor furniture unsafe. With little effort on up keep it could be a 5 star. It's a great location and the neighbors were wonderful! We use the beach at east side. Golf was great!!!! Indoor pool wonderful!!! The village has many amenities and for a family and vacation we truly enjoyed the village!
First, the property is in a great location, convenient to West gate. We could tell from photos it was outdated, but we expected it to be cleaner. The carpet was filthy and the house smelled musty. Downstairs, there were three containers of Damp Rid that were full of water (if you know how the product works, you'll understand how damp it was). There was no hot water in 2/3 of the showers so we had to use one shower. The exterior of the property is declining as well and needs paint and a power washer. We were a party of three hikers, so it was ok for a place to shower and sleep, thankfully we weren't there much and when we were - we stayed outside on the deck and enjoyed the fresh air vs the musty indoors. We couldn't get the TV to work to watch football, which was disappointing. But we could find no number for assistance after hours, so we had no options there. The downstairs screen on patio door was broken, so we opened a window downstairs to provide fresh air and help with the damp, musky odor. Two of the four patio chairs are broken and need repair. (seat coming apart from the back of the chair) This is an okay place to stay if you don't have allergies or aren't going to be there much, but otherwise - not the quality of rental we usually have with VRBO.
4 adults and 4 kids all had room to sleep and 3 showers to get us all ready. Spent a day at Lake Balboa's sandy beach. We travel to both coasts to take the kids to the beach and they had just as much fun here. They stayed in the water all day. Tip: Reserve a picnic table, they are cheap.
The house was nice. But it could've been cleaned a whole lot better. I had to was the all bed linen because they smelled bad. The house had really bad smell. Do I had to go buy cleaning products to clean with. The outside patio furniture was broken. My daughter was poked by one of the chairs. There were cigarettes butts and ashes left in the ash tray outside. Cheetos in the downstairs living room in the corner. Spider webs covering the outside. Our first night we spent cleaning. Furniture needs to be updated really badly. Remote to the downstairs tv was missing. There should be TVs in the bedrooms at least. They should check behind their cleaning staff!!
Very well located property to experience all that Hot Springs has to offer. Couldn't beat the price for such a large home and the beds were comfortable.
Nice house. Very quiet and plenty of room. The sofa and recliners upstairs were not in very good condition because the imitation leather coating was coming off the arms and seats and made it look pretty bad. Would make it hard to recommend to a friend knowing the condition of the furniture. Location to lakes and trails and golf course was great. Thanks.
