7 Mi to Dtwn Durham: Home w/ Hot Tub & Game Room!

Overall he house had some issues that put us on edge during our stay. Broken lights, dirty towels, vents and outlets without covers and musty smell in basement, overall wear and tear. The manager responded quickly, and the beds were very comfortable.

We arrived at 5pm and got right into cooking for the birthday guest we were surprising and hosting. First thing we noticed was the dishes in cabinets and drawers were dirty. Also, there were no kitchen towels or anything available to wipe or clean countertops with. The house layout is nice. Three levels, plenty of space. The house and property itself were just not clean. I did reach out to host Sat morning to let them know a few things and they responded to send a cleaner but honestly unless we would've left for a full day there was no way for issues to be remedied. Cobwebs all around and in property. Dirty carpets dirty walls dirty couches. Thankfully the beds were clean. Damp mildew smelling bed sheets were in washing machine. We had to clean washing machine before use. Around 12am after check-in when guest went to shower, we realized the tubs and walk in shower were dirty. The hot tub does not work properly, was dirty and didn't have enough water. You could see the debris in the filter and the water appeared and smelled dirty. I did turn it on, but the temperature didn't get hot either. The pool is left uncovered, safety hazard. Towels and washcloths were stained and some had holes. Thankfully we had our own as well. The host did offer to give access to cleaning closet for needed supplies but at that point we purchased what we needed couldn't chance another disappointment. Outdoor patio area furniture was dirty as well. Area itself was not clean. Leaves weren't the issue.

One of the coolest VRBO properties I’ve stayed at. Inside the residence was super clean and the beds were very comfortable. AC worked perfectly and the living room/kitchen gave you plenty of room to spend time eating, conversing, etc. The master bath was very modernized and lovely to use. The amount of things to do at the home was very convenient. The combination of the basketball court and pool kept the group occupied, as well as the pool table and poker. We really enjoyed our stay!

The house was super comfortable and spacious. Lots of beds to sleep...comfortable mattresses and pillows. It smelled very clean when we walked in.A couple things I will point out...the bath towels provided could use new ones since most of them were stained. Some of the tv's weren't working while the master suite one was working just fine. The pool needed some cleaning and the robot self cleaner wasn't working. The hot tub could've used some cleaning as well and never really got hot enough. There was a broken glass on one of the doors downstairs which I did reach out to the contact person about. But these things aren't enough to not make me come back to this house or recommend it to someone else. But really...clean the pool because the outdoor area is fantastic.
