Stayed Jul 8, 2021Walking into The Jamison house felt like walking into my own home - it was very attractive, spacious, very well equipped and we wanted for nothing! The bottle of wine and fresh eggs waiting for us were so appreciated and delicious. This property is hands-down the best rental property I have ever stayed at for having everything we might want - from every hot drink you can imagine to olive oil and spices for cooking; from great towels to an amazing clothing steamer (?); from a great ceiling fan to effective central AC. Super access to hiking trails, the mountains, Nakoma Resort (1.8m away!), Portola and Graeagle. In short, we love this place and hope we have a chance to visit in the winter!

Stayed Oct 1, 2022The host, Leslie anticipated our needs. Traveling with a dog, there was a bed, food bowls, treats and toys available to keep our little one entertained. Communications was prompt and friendly. Even offered recommendations for restaurants and local sites. The forest and farm house was very well stocked with coffee and tea options. The bed and bedding was super comfortable. Walking around the property to visit with the goats was fun too.

Stayed Jan 7, 2022We stayed here during a family wedding. It was perfect. The home has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The house is cozy, clean, and well equipped. The owner is excellent at communicating and very welcoming. Would recommend the Jameison house to anyone needing a place to stay near Portola.

Stayed Dec 24, 2021The Jamison House was well supplied with anything you could think of, hot chocolate/coffee, dental floss/soap, comfy/cozy bedding, wood for the wood stove, treats for the dog, the farm fresh eggs and a wonderful bottle of wine upon arrival. Leslie has quite the personal touch that everyone will love. It was magical waking up on Christmas morning 2021 to the fresh fallen snow. It was the perfect get-a-way. We are looking forward to coming back in the warmer months to the check out the farm and the town of Portola. Great place to stay for some peace and quiet.

Stayed Oct 8, 2021This house is lovely, inviting, well-decorated and has all of the little amenities you'd want. Very thoughtfully put together for a comfortable stay. Fresh eggs from free-range chicken with a loaf of bread and a bottle of wine greet you upon arrival. Though our host was away for the weekend we had good communication when the power went out and we needed guidance. Lovely stay overall. We'd like to return with our 2 children in the summer. Thank you!

Stayed Feb 19, 2021Leslie is a wonderful host. Communication about our stay was excellent, making us feel very welcome. She gave us suggestions for hiking and must sees in town. Leslie pays attention to detail and goes the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable, including comfortable beds and linens, snacks, filtered and bottled water, coffee, chocolates and kitchen basics. We had the most relaxing weekend and we’ll certainly be back!

Stayed Sep 16, 2020We spent a wonderful week at Jamison House. Leslie and Tim are such welcoming hosts. They gave us great tips for local hiking and restaurants, and the fresh eggs and sourdough bread were fantastic! They were very responsive to any questions we had. The pictures of the house don't quite do it justice. It's a lovely home that was very comfortable for us, our daughter and our german shepherd. It was well stocked, and there are so many nice touches (e.g., dog toys and treats) that made it feel special. It was also exceptionally clean. We were there for a change of scenery during COVID, and we still had school and work to take care of. The internet was spotty on occasion, but we made it work for our needs. We hadn't spent much time in that part of CA before, but we definitely want to go back. We hope to be able to stay at Jamison House when we return.
