Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location and set up was perfect for our 12 family members. The Buzz Inn was great for those remote workers to have quiet and privacy. The kitchen was well stocked with big pots, dishes, etc. The air conditioning is difficult to manage. The upstairs was hot and the main and lower level was quite cold. Better than all hot but felt like it might be something you want to plan for. Management helped with the issues we had (missing grill, golf cart and dryer not working) so that worked out fine. There are plenty of activities available, easy to get to beach/pool, etc. Lots of fun for our family!!

Queen Bee, was very clean. Needs a little outside landscaping maintenance, Coffee maker did not work, but overall a very nice family home, plenty of room for everyone.

The golf cart makes it easy to get to the beach and pool. The staff in the front office was friendly and attentive. We had loads of fun swimming, fishing,and kayaking. We enjoyed the live music in the park and the ice cream at the beach shop. Such a fun vacation for our family.

The property met our needs for 12 adults and 12 children. Although a walkable distance to the beach it was considerably further than we anticipated. The golf cart did not recharge and we actually had to push it back to the house and it was eventually replaced. The ice maker in the fridge did not work nor did the stand alone ice maker which had black mold in it so we had to purchase our own ice. The shower head in the main suite bathroom blew out of the wall and was not possible to repair during our stay. The outdoor gas grill was substandard for a large group and heated unevenly making it a challenge to use. We also found a dirty pan of scrambled eggs in the middle of a stack of frying pans. Management and maintenance answered our calls and problems efficiently.

Reviewer Comments: We stayed in Queen Bee and Buzz in for the first time this year. Have stayed in several other Beachwalk properties. The house is big with spaces for everyone. It is well stocked and was as clean inside as can be expected for a beach community resort. Having said that, the exterior of the house needs paint and trim maintenance. Rotting boards and trim on all the porches. Our biggest aggravation was there was zero beach equipment. A group of 12 people with no chairs, no inner tubes, no boogie boards, no kayaks, no noodles...nothing. A beach house on Lake Michigan with no beach equipment is rather ridiculous - especially for $13,500+!! The office said things get broken and stolen and owners choose not to replace them. Question...isn't that what security deposit is for?? Additionally, one of the washing machines didn't work, although it was fixed 3 days into our stay. The grounds around the house were a mess. Tall weeds all around the house along with old leaves from last year that hadn't been blown off the patio, under the deck by basement entrance and all around the screens on the porches. We reported it to the office the first day. They said maintenance should have done that and would be there Monday. They never came. The basement bathroom was pretty bad with mold in the shower, broken tiles and a broken ceiling fan that sounded like a jet taking off. It's a shame because the house has a great floor plan and is well furnished, but because of things listed above, we will not return to Queen Bee.

All of our allergies were through the roof. Dust covered all of the intakes. Additionally, the dryer doesn’t dry. We went outside and put our hands over the exhaust and no air was moving. Definitely a fire hazard. Also, the washer in the Buzz Inn didn’t work at all. We didn’t bother letting staff know as it wasn’t a huge deal for us, but maintenance should check it out. Also, if walked around the house barefoot, your feet would turn black.

The houses were spacious and large enough to accommodate our family of 21 comfortably. Everything is there for you to enjoy (board games, cards, firepit, wagon and cooler for the beach).We enjoyed the pool, Lake Kai beach, sand volleyball, tennis, fishing and the short golf cart ride to Sheridan beach. The cafe near the pool has yummy ice cream, and their avocado toast is delicious. We will definitely be back!
