Located on one of the largest canals in Jamaica Beach w/ direct access to Galveston Bay & State Park, you can't ask for a better location...
- 10 minute bike ride to the beach, Jamaica Beach Swimming Pool (open Memorial Day to the first of August), playground & city park
- 20 minute drive to the Pleasure Pier, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, the Strand & Sea Wall

'Kachina Cay' is a place where families can bike to the beach on our complimentary 'beach cruiser' bicycles. A place where children can fish from our pier or kayak from our dock right into the wildlife preserve at Galveston State Park (we provide kayaks & life vests at no cost). This is a place where parents can relax in the hammock, knowing the kids & pets are playing safely in our fully-fenced yard; & a place where friends can enjoy a day of boating right from our slip, enjoy a game of pickleball on our private driveway court or simply spend the afternoon grilling by the water or relaxing around our fire pit.

Above all else, 'Kachina Cay' is a place to get away for awhile, relax, and enjoy life with each other!

Our private dock is equipped with an underwater fishing light to help draw in the 'big ones' after dark! Trout, red fish, drum, and several other varieties are frequently caught from our deck!

Just walk right downstairs and hop on the boat... it doesn't get more convenient than that! Also, if you are interested in renting a boat during your stay, we can help you arrange a full or half-day boat rental at a special discounted rate for our guests!

Our amenities...: Following an extensive renovation, 'Kachina Cay' now features beautiful granite countertops, glass tile back-splashes, stainless appliances, two full decks overlooking the water and Galveston State Park and much, much more. With two decks & an expansive open floor plan, the home is designed to allow large groups to comfortably relax together.

A note from the owners for parents traveling with small children... we have a 4-year old, 3-year old and 6-month old, so we know what it's like to travel with kids and have designed this home with them in mind. We've taken great care to ensure our home allows children to play safely AND allows parents to enjoy their vacation without constant worry. Lockable safety gates on both the upstairs deck and the fully-fenced yard help keep your children & pets safely away from the water and street. We also have a high chair and pack-n-play available for your use (just make sure to bring crib sheets).

Amenities include: HD Roku TV's (in living room AND bedrooms) and complimentary high-speed wifi, washer/dryer, Moen adjustable shower heads with massage setting, Tempurpedic king mattresses, attached boat slip, deck ladder for swimming in the canal, 2 single kayaks and a tandem kayak w/ paddles & life vests, 3 beach-cruiser bicycles and a tandem two-person bike w/ helmets, covered hammock & swing, 8 person picnic table, beach toys, boogie-boards, all linens, towels, blankets, cookware, etc... all of this and more is included with your stay!

IMPORTANT HOUSE RULES! We want you to have a great stay but the following rules must be followed. Please review BEFORE reserving the home...
- This is not a party house. Prom groups and parties are not allowed at any time unless approved by the owner in advance.
- The maximum number of guests allowed on the property at any given time is 10 unless approved by the owner.
- Guests must be at least 25 years of age to reserve the home and adult guests may not rent the home on behalf of underage guests.
- No underage drinking
- No loud music or other disturbances to the neighboring residents
- No trespassing onto neighboring properties

Pets: Your pets are part of your family and are always welcome in our home with no additional pet deposit. The yard has been designed to give them room to play safely and away from the water.
