The Cottage was perfect! All the amenities you need.....from extra toilet paper to fresh cut flowers! The Cottage was PERFECT. We didn't want to leave! Carolyn was easy to communicate with and definitely takes prides in her work! 100 out of 5 stars for The Cottage!

The 242 reviews before mine were not wrong. The Cottage was spotless & provided everything I needed for a 20 day stay. It was also close to nearby conveniences, peaceful, bright & beautiful. The furniture & bedding were very comfortable. I really appreciated the washer & dryer !!! The garden looks like it will be amazing during the warm weather. Caroline was the best host ever !!!!!!

Great communication with Carolyn, our host. Enjoyed it even more the 2nd time now that we were familiar with what came in the unit and how everything worked. Like an Ikea showroom, small but very comfortable and has everything you need. Will definitely stay here again.

Carolyn is a great host, quick to respond to all communications. The cottage is in a great area with a small town feel. Local grocery store, hardware store, coffee shops and restaurants all in walking distance. There is even a bowling alley! Cottage is cost and well stocked. The Nordic Nook is an additional perk.

It was a great little spot to relax and retreat. But close to good walking trails and lakes.

“Attention to detail” is the phrase that comes to my mind. A minimalist approach, and yet everything we could have asked for or needed was at our disposal. We stayed two very comfortable nights. Cleaner than clean. The shower was a plus! Tall and strong. We would definitely return.

This little house (an addition to a larger house in front of it) is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. I use a walker and the house was easily accessible, including the bathroom. There is a lovely patio and garden outside, plus a little nook next door that we didn't use. The property owner was very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Minneapolis.

It was so clean, and a totally adorable cottage and patio. So peaceful! I would stay there time and time again! Great location!

The Cottage is an ideal spot for a getaway, or if you have business in the Cities. The neighborhood is safe, and quiet. Like many Minneapolis neighborhoods, it's close to parks and lakes. The property is immaculate, functional, and fun. No detail is overlooked. Extras include beautiful landscaping that adds a sense of sanctuary at your doorstep. Your doorstep is at the rear of the property, adding extra privacy and quiet. An extra feature is The Nook, a separate space in the garage. It's been decorated as beautifully as the Cottage, and is an extra space to nap, read, sleep, or have away space. We have loved every stay at The Cottage. Carolyn is an excellent host, and offers thorough information and details. She's available if you have questions or an issue (never one of those). We're always happy when there's an opening so we can take advantage of the fun we have in the TC. I highly recommend The Cottage as a place to stay. It's also close to neighborhood restaurants, and other services. You're five minutes to Minnehaha Falls or Lake Nokomis.

The Cottage is easy to find, beautifully-appointed (Carolyn has seen to every detail you can imagine), very private, and very clean. The bed is comfortable and the garden and outdoor space are gorgeous and relaxing. We ate breakfast outside each morning and grilled dinner one night. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, and more. We will stay again when in the area.

The cottage was wonderfully decorated and had everything we needed. The lighting features added such ambiance and cheer. I loved napping in the Nordic Nook as it was so very cozy. The outdoor space is private and pretty. Rain kept us mostly inside but we'll hope for drier weather on our next visit!

Great location. Close to plenty of restaurants, a grocery store and parks. Cottage was exactly as pictured and described. Carolyn was a wonderful host. Enjoyed a couple afternoons and evenings under the pergola. Water pressure in shower was awesome.

Exceptional. The home is very tastefully decorated and comfortable. It is fully equipped with just about everything you need. The bed is comfortable. The host is very attentive without being intrusive. The garden and sitting areas beautiful and relaxing. My wife and I spent 2 1/2 weeks here and didn't want to leave. We are planning to book next time we are in Mpls. Caveat, you are near the airport but for the most part not under a flight path. You do hear the rumble of jet engines, sort of like the distant rumble of thunder. It did not bother us in the least and I am a light sleeper. It almost sounded relaxing. But I have a sister-in-law who is a bit neurotic and I know it would driver her nuts. Try it, you will not regret it.

I love to stay at the cottage any time I visit family in the twin cities. It's a convenient location close to the airport, lakes and anything you could need is a quick drive away. As a solo female traveler I feel safe staying at the cottage. It is tucked away behind the main house and gives a sense of privacy. I have used the separate space called the Nordic nook in the past to paint or relax. It's a great additional space when traveling. The details put into the landscaping, the space and decor are what makes it stand apart from other rentals. It really feels like a home away from home.

Best VRBO I’ve ever stayed at

How lovely it was to nestle into a tranquil cottage halfway between Lake Nokomis and the Mississippi. This cozy getaway was designed to ensure a very pleasant stay. It had the ambiance of a spa getaway, The space was designed to maximize efficiency and no detail appeared to be spared! Beautiful lighting, cozy linens, built-in bedside tables and much more. Host provided a rolling shopping card for guests to do grocery runs. Located very close to the airport and to to several parks and trails. Also, a quick walk to public transportation. I highly recommend this cottage, a peaceful place, indeed!

We were in the cities for our daughter’s graduation and the cottage was perfect for the two of us! Very clean, comfortable and nicely equipped. The outdoor space was great! We grilled out and utilized the propane fire pit on the cool evenings. Check-in was a breeze and Carolyn was very responsive to our questions. Neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. We walked to the grocery store and around the area, very safe and clean. Will stay here again in the future!

We loved our visit. The cottage is clean and adorable and so close to many things to see and do. We loved the ease of having many keys to use while we stayed and the Nordic nook was a very nice additional setting.

We needed a place to stay for the weekend of our granddaughter’s birthday. The Cottage was perfect for us. Super clean, wonderful bed, amazing shower and private and quiet. We didn’t have time to look at the Nook, but I’m sure it was just as great. We enjoyed everything!

Excellent accommodations. Everything was thought out with the guest in mind. We were extremely busy in the land of lakes so we didn’t have much down time to relax in the Nook. It looked like a perfect place to just sit and read a book. The garden was starting to show, wish we could go back soon and see it in full bloom. It is very well designed. So many beautiful touches. Highly recommend

This is a mindful, clean, well stocked, peaceful place. It had everything I needed and more. The space was so sweet and clearly well thought out. As advertised. Even a second space even more sweet although I traveled alone and did not use it. Neighborhood quiet and safe and was convenient to St Paul and Minneapolis. I travel to the cities often and this will be my first pick for a place to stay for sure.

Have stayed at the cottage twice before this visit and love the location and the local community. There are improvements with a new bed with storage.I

This is an excellent property for a true experience of life in a 600 sq ft home! Everything I needed was there! The home is well built, stocked with all necessities, and has a great layout. I never felt that this place was small. The perfect design combined with great choices in built-ins and decorating made it feel airy and comfortable. Carolyn (the host) was available and responded quickly to the few questions I had. I never had a problem in the week that I stayed. I highly recommend this property and would stay again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful place to stay for two people. Short walk to restaurants and grocery store. Close to the lake and park. The fire pit out back is a great place to sit with lots of privacy. The Nook is a cute extra space to use.

Excellent, in many ways

Our third stay and it was just like coming home! We park in front/or in the driveway, so convenient. We stopped at the market just up the street for a few groceries and then were set for the evening and breakfast before our business schedule began. The heat was comfortable since the temperature went down quickly. Then we enjoyed the patio later in the week when the temp went up to 70! So convenient to the airport and the rest of the city. Five Stars!!!!

The Cottage is one of those places you yearn to find. Clean, comfortable, adorably decorated, with every amenity you need. We have stayed at this property several times (and would love to return). The location is a quiet neighborhood, convenient to lakes, restaurants, shopping, and transportation. Carolyn is an excellent host. Me and my boyfriend decided to go to Minneapolis on a whim 10 days before our scheduled vacation, possibly because our favorite baseball team would be in town, but that’s neither here nor there. From the moment, the literal moment, that we booked The Cottage, Carolyn was nothing less than spectacular. She responded to all of my emails and there were quite a few. She was willing to help us in any way. Anything from the lists of stores and activities near by to recommending a place for an amazing steak dinner (Manny’s, you have to go), Carolyn did it all. The Cottage itself was an absolute dream as well. We’ve already said that if we might make Minneapolis a yearly trip because of the amazing time and accommodations. If you’re reading this, STOP and BOOK THIS PLACE!!! You will not regret it!!!

The Cottage is perfect for couples. We had a wonderful stay. Our host was easy to get in contact with and left us a nice snack tray for our arrival. Location was so convenient to everything! The rental has everything to make you feel comfortable. Everything was super clean. And very private. We will definitely return.

We had a great stay at Carolyn's cottage. Carolyn is a terrific host - she was quick to answer all questions and had great recommendations for us! The cottage had everything you could have ever needed and is decorated to help you relax on your vacation. The Nordic Nook was cool - we weren't there long enough to really use it but its an added bonus to an already cool cottage. The location was great - nothing we visited was more than 18 minutes away. Minnehaha Falls, grocery and restaurants were within in walking distance. I can see why Carolyn has so many 5 star reviews.

The unit was beautiful and one of the very best supplied VRBOs I have ever been in In fact, the TV system was stellar Usually, in every VRBO I have been in, I have had difficulty with the TVS working right The one in this unit has absolutely everything you could want STELLAR The decor was lovely and very private Walking distance to the Sweet Berry restaurant , which has a wonderful breakfast menu. A nice grocery store a few blocks away Just minutes to a great seafood place Sea Salt, which is in a park setting and features the Minnehaha Falls Less than 4 miles from the airport, but still in a quiet location You can't go wrong with this property It was perfect for me👍💯💯👍

Having enjoyed our prior stay at this wonderful place, we decided to do so again. Location and property were perfect for the two of us. No doubt you will see us again on our next trip to the Twin Cities.

Carolyn makes use of every corner in her home design in a clean, contemporary and cozy way. Birds sing out in the garden and also sit impishly as design elements inside. We enjoy the romance of small cottage but appreciate the extra space of the Nordic Nook when one of us needs privacy for work, make art or just watch a different tv show from the other. Great, welcoming lodging.

Great place to stay if you are visiting Minneapolis. Location is close to the airport and in a nice quiet neighborhood. Easy access to the freeway to get to anywhere in the Mpls-St Paul area. Restaurants and grocers just a few blocks away. The cottage is perfectly adorable, with everything you need for a few days or a week. My husband and I were able to split up between the cottage and the lovely Norske Nook (extra room attached to the garage) to work without hearing each other on Zoom calls. And the garden is lovely to walk through each time you enter. Carolyn is the perfect host, quickly responding if we had a question. We travel to Mpls a few times a year for work and we will be back if the cottage is available!
