We enjoyed our two night stay in this well appointed home. Maria and Albert were fantastic hosts and were very responsive. The house is beautifully decorated and the kitchen and coffee bar were well stocked! Access was easy, rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and very close to Ark encounter and short drive to Lexington. Thank you Albert and Maria!

The house was clean and the kitchen was supplied with all that my husband and I needed for food prep and clean-up. The only thing I couldn't find was where extra paper towels were stored. We didn't spend a lot of time at the home but when we were there we were comfortable and cozy. There was an issue with the toilet seats the bolt on one of toilet seats was broken and the second toilet seat in the hallway was loose, I text the owners right away about the seats and they responded right away and replaced the seats that very day. The home is just 5 minutes from the Ark Encounter but the Creation Museum was about 45 minutes away but the convince of where the home is, made the traveling time to the museum convenient. Town is small, there is a good Mexican restaurant in town and a pizza parlor not sure how much more in the way of resturants there are, sorry. We did travel about 20/30 minutes to the Long Horn stake house and driving there was worth the travel, very good food! There is a grocery store up the road from the house. There is one thing to be aware of though, there is about a one and a half inch rise in the walkway to the front door, be careful there, my husband didn't see it and he tripped, he didn't fall though. If you're going to the Ark Encounter and you want a nice and cozy and comfortable place to stay this is it! Great little home and great hosts!

We ran into a couple concerns and we received immediate responses. We felt very comfortable and there were so many things in the home we didn’t know about that we didn’t bring that were so helpful. The price was so inexpensive we weren’t expecting much and were blown away by the cleanliness and comfort of everything was well as the quality. As a growing family on a budget, I have to stay there aren’t enough affordable and overall excellent properties out there. We will definitely be back to this property on our next trip to the creation museum and arc. Not to mention a day trip to Daniel Boone memorials. Can’t say enough good things.

Nice place to stay with good places to eat nearby. It’s close to the Ark, which is why we booked it.We were traveling as two couples so the two bathrooms were very helpful, however rooms are very small with little room around beds.Beds are incredibly creaky but the mattresses were great, no problems with my back.We had few minor issues like the house being 55 when we arrived the first night (35 outside) so it took a while to heat up.This made everything in the house cold including bathroom floors.Host should provide decent coffee though, we had stuff like blueberry slam?? And only a few reg for 4 people for 3 nights/4 daysHost good at responding to communication & taking suggestions (putting mat in the very slippery shower).House does sit on very steep drop off in back so it leans slightly in kitchen area. The major concern I had was the huge & very unstable boulder in front that you must step on to get to front door. It rocks so you don't have steady footing. That was a bit unnerving especially at night.Birds are huge issue too but not much host can do. Huge amounts sit in trees behind house & make a horrible racket. Fortunately there are noise machines in both bedrooms however they weren't communicated so we only discovered them on checkout.Overall place worked for us as we were in town for the ark encounter and creation museum. If staying here, check out Opas pizza just down the street. It has amazing pizza & the icecream shop two doors down is a wonderful treat

We had an unexpected and frustrating experience during our stay. Around 4:00 AM, an alarm went off that initially made us think there was a fire or break-in. We eventually realized it was a water alarm, but this possibility had not been communicated to us in advance. Between the alarm, contacting the owners, and a visit from the fire department, we were awake for over an hour and our kids were awaken. The alarm went off again around 6:00 AM, and was shut off however since 4 there was an alarm on the basement that would go off every 10 mins. When we got up for the day, the house had a noticeable musty sewer water odor and contacted the owner. A work crew arrived around 9:15 AM, confirmed there was water, and then left without explaining what the issue was, what steps were being taken, or how the odor would be addressed. There was no follow-up communication from either the worker or the owner at all asking how things were etc. While we did receive a text at 11:39 PM on our last night offering a later checkout, the timing felt reactive rather than proactive. At that very moment, we were already discussing our disappointment with the lack of communication, follow-up, or any gesture—such as a discount—after being abruptly awakened and dealing with the unresolved water issue. Not saying that we can verify there are listening devices but a little odd. When the Home has alarms, especially for those out of town, visitors there needs to be stuff disclosed as well as procedures.

We enjoyed our stay here. The convenience of 2 bathrooms made it even better. Loved the decor. We got to hear so many birds in the trees right outside the kitchen window. The host communicated well and it was a good experience.

We really love the house and its location. If there was one thing I would like to see fixed it is the front step. It’s a rock that moves when you step on it. It was a little unnerving, especially when carrying out babat in and out. Otherwise we loved everything.

We had a great time, and this house was a big part of that! It was very clean, and we could tell that the owners had put a lot of thought and work into making it comfortable and inviting. It was well stocked and they had lots of books and games, and even had several toys and children’s books and a play area that my two grandchildren who visited me really enjoyed. It’s on a quiet street in the quaint little town of Williamstown, KY and quite near the Ark Encounter.
