Stayed Aug 24, 2025Conveniently located to downtown and Duke Health with free parking for 2 cars onsite. This was a cozy & clean place for 3 adults. We traveled with pets and the fenced in backyard was perfect! As for location, we felt safe and secure.

Stayed Jan 11, 2024First of all, I now understand “neighborhood in transition means” check police reports of crime in the area. Unfortunately for me, I did not do that until I arrived at the property. That was the first issue. Next, went into the property and the heat was not working. It was 57 degrees inside with the heat set at 73. No heat was coming out of the vents. I immediately phoned the property manager. He requested I look for the electrical panel to try to reset the heat. After spending about 15-20 minutes trying I could not find the panel. He then requested I wait while he finds a service person to come and fix the heat. I explained I am a cancer patient having just received my first radiation treatment and was not going to wait in a cold home at 4:30 in the evening for who knows how long for someone to show up. While looking for the panel, I noticed the inch of dirt on the heating vent on the wall. There was also dirt and nasty hair on baseboards. The walls were all marked up. The property did not look clean. I sent a picture of the vent to the manager. It was obvious the HVAC filters had not been changed. That speaks volumes on how a property is maintained. After a 20-30 minute phone call with the manager, I told him I was checking out and not staying at the property. So, only rent this property if you aren’t concerned about safety, cleanliness, or appropriate responsiveness from the property manager. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau due to VRBO’s respons

Stayed Jan 6, 2023Stayed here with my sister to do our Christmas and attend a show at DPAC. This home is located near downtown Durham and is a quick drive to restaurants as well as DPAC. The home is decorated nicely, the beds comfortable, everything was clean and was exceptionally quiet there. It’s located on a flag lot in a culdasac in an area of revitalization. New homes have replaced older ones and older ones are being renovated. As a female-I felt safe. Can’t comment on the appliances or amenities for cooking as no cooking was done. I would stay here again.

Stayed Oct 20, 2022Perfect space for our group of 6 (plus 2 dogs). It was also very handy to have a fenced in area for our dogs. Very clean! We’d definitely stay here again. A very quick 5 minute drive to Duke’s campus, and very close to the Durham Bull’s baseball field!
