5 BR/4 bath w/heated pool .2 miles to Nauset Beach

Our stay was the week of August 16-23 2025.The house is very conveniently located , a short walk to Nauset Beach. It did come with towels and linens and the kitchen was amply stocked with dishes, pots etc. We did not carefully read the fine print on the listing as while it did say that there was a central AC unit in the kitchen/family room and master bedroom, we did not question whether the other bedrooms were air conditioned. The queen bedroom upstairs did have a free standing AC tower, but the other upstairs bedroom was stifling. Also the wall unit in the downstairs level did not adequately cool off either of the two bedrooms. Our family members who were in the 3 rooms without air conditioning spent several nights very uncomfortably before the weather changed. Another problem with the house was that the dryer did not have a knob to turn it on. We were left a wrench and a note which told us to use the wrench. There was no indication that a knob was being ordered or the dryer replaced. It was very awkward to use the wrench, thus doing the laundry was difficult. IIn addition, we were unable to use the pool for one day as the filter and heater were not working.The house had several other problems such as windows with notes attached stating not to open, and moldy pool chairs. The jetted tub also did not work. While the house is close to Nauset Beach, we did not feel that compensated for the poor condition of the house.

Amazing vacation! The house was perfect for our combined family of 12. Pool was heated perfectly and the close walk to the beach made the whole week. We’ve been renting down the cape for years and this was our favorite house by far. We texted about a very minor issue and the property owner & caretaker were quick in responding.

The house was as described. That has consistently been true with VRBO rentals. The manager, Leslie, was very helpful and prompt in providing assistance when needed. The house was spacious for our group of 7. The pool was large with comfortable water temp. The location in Orleans was very good. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The property was beautiful and just as described. The communication and check-in process was easy. The weather can still be a little cool in June so the heated pool was very nice. The owner had provided many of the basic items which was so helpful since we were traveling a good distance. Would definitely visit again!

Our three generation family vacation was the best experience ever. The home has all that you need to enjoy your stay, with a well stocked kitchen that handled six people making different meals. The home has two separate ‘apartments’ so it’s a great layout for little ones to nap while old folks enjoy some peace and quiet in the master suite, which includes its own little living area. The pool was great and we were so impressed with all the pool toys and well maintained grounds. And the beach is truly a short walk (and if you have small children and lots of beach paraphernalia, the town beach has an option for locals to drive straight down the road to drop everything (and everyone) off and return by foot.) The owner supplied beach chairs, a great beach umbrella and lots of beach toys. All very much appreciated! The host was extremely responsive to our needs. As a previous guest wrote, the place isn’t brand new, but for us, it was exactly what we’d hoped for —comfortable, very clean, and well appointed with everything to make a memorable family vacation.

Our family has been coming to the cape for 30+ years. Now with 12 of us, ranging from grandparents to a 2 year old, we value location, size/rooms, and a heated pool for the kids. This house had it all and more. Great property for yard games, easy walk down beach road to Nauset, amazing decks. Big kitchen to cook family meals. Lots of room to spread out. There’s a few shabby elements that felt off for the price, like a small and beat up grill, but overall the location and property can’t be beat. Highly recommended.

This is the place we go each summer. Another part of the family was staying at another house and this house easily accommodated 18 when they visited during the day. Great place.

We had a wonderful stay. The house was beautiful and the location perfect!
