Stayed Jul 31, 2025Stayed here for our son's wedding at Notre Dame. The house has plenty of room and is just a couple blocks from campus. It made for an easy drive back and forth for events. The property has a long history and the kids really enjoyed the antique decorations. Everything in the house was clean and tidy, just as described.Note that the property doesn't have much in the way of parking. Probably three vehicles maximum in order to leave room to turn around. Backing out of the driveway into the busy road is not really an option. Also, remember that this is an old house, so expect to have some squeaky doors and older bathroom fixtures. That's part of the experience when staying in a house with this much history!Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would come again!

Stayed Nov 8, 2024The 8 of us had a fantastic stay! The property is gorgeous! The front of the house does face the highway, but that didn’t bother any of us. We had a fun bonfire Friday night (we bought our own wood, but there was plenty in the back). Only an 8 minute drive to ND campus or there is a trail close by which takes you near campus and is about a 45 minute walk. The house is old with tons of character, it did creak a lot when others would walk around, so if you are a light sleeper, I would suggest bringing a sound machine or earplugs.

Stayed Jul 13, 2022Ample space for large groups but this is right beside an interstate. It was not at all relaxing sitting outside - we had to almost yell at ear other to have a conversation. The basement - as others have mentioned - wasn’t super clean. There was a retainer in a couch and dropped something on the floor and accidentally looked under the beds :( if you need a big space this is the best going but just don’t expect a 5 star experience.

Stayed Jun 29, 2022We had a great time and the old house was beautiful! Scenic 45 minute drive to Warren Dunes State Park. The beach was beautiful! We got there each day by 10:00 and we had our pick of shoreline. It then got crowded but we were spaced apart and we had a great time! The creek and big back yard made us feel that we were in a park. The fire pit and outdoor grill were much appreciated. Host responded timely with our questions. The 4 bedrooms were large so we had plenty of room. The lower level was rough.

Stayed Jun 24, 2022This place was beautiful. It had plenty of stuff to do like board games, video games, sitting by the fire, or just simply wondering around the land. There was plenty of room and beds for a large group.

Stayed May 26, 2022This is the second time staying at Cleveland House. It is historic, unique house. The two main floors are very comfortable and well stocked. The basement level needs some work to have guests stay down there.
