5 BR lake house with dock

Wonderful place to stay at Norris.

Our third visit with 6 adults & 4 children - a perfect fit! Already booked again for next summer.

House was a perfect set up for our crew of ten. House was clean. Three bathrooms was a big bonus. And laundry room!! AMet the property manager and mentioned a few this to him that weren't working. He was apologetic and aware of the issues.

The infestation of cats outside the property was an issue plus it seemed that potentially there were cats inside at one point. My daughter and I are very allergic. Also not very clean. Bathrooms had black mold, dishes were not washed. Sheets had stains etc. We ended up renting another home.

Overall my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property managers were responsive and had the home set up with a fully stocked kitchen, towels, linens, and a full supply of wood for the wonderful covered fire pit. The property is conveniently located just a short drive from Knoxville and the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. The sheets/linens that were on the beds were in need of additional cleaning. They had stains, pet hair and long hair on them. Again, the stay was wonderful overall.

If you are looking for convenience and amenities, look no further. This home offers a lot of space, great location to ATV trails and local attractions. It’s also equipped with a nice fenced back porch area, fire pit, and boat dock. Bonuses included games for the kids, a washer and dryer, complementary fire wood, and everything for smores! Although we had a great, quiet stay, there are a couple reasons I can’t give it 5 stars. It was advertised as handicap accessible or at least that’s how it came up in my search. While the home itself is a nice open floor plan, there are no handicap features. No bars, no “roll in shower” and the grade to the entry door is not ideal for loading or unloading anyone who struggles with mobility. For reference, my mother is confined to a wheelchair. Furthermore,the terrain in the back of the home is only for the agile, as the stairs to the water become quite treacherous the closer you get to the dock. The second reason I can’t give it 5 stars was cleanliness, but perhaps my expectations were too high for a pet friendly home. Upon entering, there was a musty smell in the air but it dissipated after adjusting the temp a bit. However, the slight odor of pets still permeated the rooms. We fixed it by a light cleaning and a few air fresheners. Keep in mind, I do not have pets inside my home, so I consider myself hypersensitive to those odors. All in all, this rental was the perfect size and location for the 6 adults and 2 small children in our group.

Property was very nice but could use a better walkway to the dock. Climbing over the rocks was difficult at times

The house was fine - the problem that I had was getting to and from the dock. I realize that the water level has dropped, but walking through the rocks and over the wobbly ramp was treacherous for me and the grandkids

Great location, nice dock, nice covered fire pit, owners very responsive and easy to work with.

Great location on the lake, beautiful easy access waterfront property. Plenty of room and very nice deck on the back

The house itself was good for my family. But the ice maker did not work at all, there is a light in one bathroom burnt out. It would have been nice to have a cookie sheet or two. And the house next door had at least 12 cats that kept coming over on our deck a times, climbing on our things.

Plenty of rooms & beds for our party of 6 adults & 4 children. A nice dock in a quiet cove = nonstop swimming!

This home was lovely inside, and spacious enough for the nine adults in our family. The whole house appeared to be freshly painted, and the decor was tasteful, and “just right.” The dock was very nice, and the lake was wonderful for swimming. The Norris Dam marina was about a 30 minute drive, and we went there twice, renting kayaks one day, and a pontoon boat another day. The Cumberland Gap museum and park were also within easy driving distance, as was the Appalachian Museum. My only suggestion would be to cut down the 3 dead trees in the yard, as they distract from the lovely view of the lake. We had a great time.
