It was nice. The beds were not that comfortable and the first night we did not have hot water (they had not filled up the gas) so we could not cook or bathe. Was not too happy about that.
We enjoyed it so much! Everything was perfect for our Family Christmas. From the Christmas tree being lit as we pulled in till our departure we really enjoyed out time. Will definitely return again. Probably in 3 years for our newest grandchild coming this January. Cabin was well equipped with all we needed. Very, very clean.
We (husband, brother-in-law, sister-in-law and their kids) stayed at this house for a family reunion. It was difficult to find since VrBO sent the wrong address. The challenge was there is no cell service in the area unless you have Wi-Fi so we could not contact anybody. Fortunately we had another email with the correct address and directions. Peter showed up to make sure all was well and helped with setting up Wi-Fi. The house was just as described, comfortable, spacious, and clean. We had plenty of room to spread out and enjoyed the hot tub at the end of each day. We did have a bear family visit us during our stay so caution to guests to not leave food outside and to clean crumbs off the deck. Overall, a great visit. Thank you for such a wonderful home.
This property was well maintained and everything we had hoped for. Peter was very responsive and quick to get our hot water back when it stopped working. Would stay here again!
The cabin was beautiful/ clean with a great view. Loved that it was pet friendly. Plenty of room tastefully decorated and the owners were very easy to work with and responsive. Definitely we will be back.
We absolutely loved our stay! The view was beautiful and it was secluded enough for the privacy we were looking for. Very clean and just overall great for larger family vacation!
Overall really enjoyed the house. Pretty view good community and privacy. The unpaved road is well maintained but give yourself 10-15 minutes to travel them. Property manager checked on us which was nice. Will definitely stay here again.
This cabin was more than we could have imagined. Perfect views and plenty of space. The property manager was excellent to work with and very accommodating. The cabin had everything we needed. They made sure we felt welcomed. The hot tub and pool table was a huge plus. We would definitely stay here again. We sure didn’t want to leave.
Falcon’s Nest was everything we imagined and more. The kitchen was fully stocked with every appliance we could need, had plenty of storage for the food we brought, and had beautiful serving dishes for when we had a sit down dinner at the HUGE dining room table. We had plenty of towels for our group of nine and even took advantage of the washer and dryer so we had clean clothes when we arrived home. The place was spotless when we arrived making it feel even cozier than the photos portray. If the cabin itself being incredible isn’t enough for you to book, then you should book for the host. Peter was an absolute delight. He made sure we had everything we needed to feel comfortable and even made an additional trip to our cabin to help us turn on the fireplace (user error). We also booked with Maggie Valley Tours for an ATV ride through the mountains (ask Peter about this, it’s a MUST) and it was an experience like no other. Staying at Falcon’s Nest made our trip to Maggie Valley so incredible, we cannot wait to come back and stay here again.
Easy enjoyable nice place!
Raining, but we made it fun
Peter was great to work with. My family and I rented Falcons Next for our Christmas. The house was just as listed. Thanks for the memories. The house was fully equipped and there was even wood for the fire pit. Peter was so accommodating, easy to reach and quit with a response. Jeff & Tracy. Fletcher NC
very nice place it was exactly what i needed for a relaxing weekend
My family and I spend my 60th birthday here. Cabin was great, lost power to area on one night, I let prep manger know. Once on had no water property manager came right out to fix. No big deal. Had plenty of room for my group of 6 adults and 2 kids. would love to go back!!!
Overall the property is beautiful and the views amazing. We enjoyed our time together with beautiful views. The weather was beautiful. We got what we came for - quality time with family. We thoroughly enjoyed being together. It was emotional when we left to head in three different directions - so we have much gratitude for Falcon's Nest and how it brought us together. The porches are beautiful - loved the swing. My brother-in-law made excellent use of the grill! We all loved the large dining room and being together for all our meals. The items below are some of our surprises, challenges, and suggestions. My family - all adults over 50 - were all surprised at the roads to the property. We weren't expecting dirt/gravel roads. This was not part of the listing. Getting there was a challenge with GPS. We were in three cars coming from three states arriving at different times. My brother got directions at the 5-way intersection from some Floridians who knew the area. He let us know what to expect. As beautiful as it all was - we likely would not have chosen this home if we'd known about the roads. An actual map of the site would have been a big help. I was with my elderly mother and the shower on the main level did not have a slip resistant mat. I chose not to put her in the shower for safety. We found the lighting in the main living area and kitchen to be poor. With all lights on it still felt dark, even during the day. We had difficulty starting the fireplace. Once lit, it went out within the minute. We did not try again and didn't call about it, because our Mom told us she doesn't like fireplaces. Some of us are light sleepers and found we could all hear each other whether upstairs or downstairs. The house is noisy at night when people are going to bed at different times - footsteps, bathroom, toilet flush from upstairs is loud. Probably not a lot can be done about that. My Mom is elderly and I would not recommend this home for the elderly with issues with walking, getting up, or sitting. Edges of door and window framing are sharp. We found the kitchen poorly organized - we had to look in every cabinet and drawer to find what we need - even after orienting ourselves upon arrival. The pots were not organized - meaning we had to pull everything out to find what we needed. I talked with my brother and sister and got their feedback on all the items listed above. These are things we feel would make the stay more enjoyable and safer.
Beautiful home and location! Perfect for large group
Beautiful place
Beautiful views and great communication with the host. We were unable to get the hot tub warm so we called the host who answered quickly, and came to fix us up within minutes. Cabin was perfect for what we needed.
We had a great 4th of July weekend stay at this 5 BR house. It is spacious and great for families with kids and pets. As advertised and the property manager Peter was excellent! We arrived during storms in the evening and our GPS got us lost. Peter met us and escorted us in. The back porch is the best part! A porch swing, 4 rocking chairs. A hot tub and the best sunset view I’ve seen over mountains! We’ll be back! Our only suggestion is to put a sign with house name and number at the top of the driveway.
