We loved our stay here. The house was great, pool was awesome. No complaints, highly recommended. Huge shoutout to the concierge Joustine. He made the trip for us. Very responsive and great to work with.

Great for group fun with many amenities and beach access.

We were a group of 5 guys wanting a getaway from our busy lives. And that's exactly what we got. With the help of the concierge, Joustinne, we were able to book a private chef to cook the majority of our meals in-house as well as a white water rafting excursion. But truly the best part of our trip was just hanging out in the house, which has the best layout for a group chill. We will definitely be back. Pura vida!

The house is beautiful and the wildlife we could view from the backyard was great. However, there were problems that were never resolved during our stay:1.the front door latch was inoperative and never worked while we were there.2.The blinds in the master bedroom were inoperative.3. Volleyball net was shot. Needs replacing.4. The dryer lint filter damaged five pieces of clothing.5. There was virtually no pool maintenance during our stay. We complained about the green pool water a couple times until a maintenance worker came out and through in a couple scoops of chlorine in the water. 24 hours later the water was clear but within a week it was green again. Two maintenance workers showed up about midway through our 10 day stay and skimmed the surface of the pool - something we did ourselves several times. No other maintenance like vacuuming/scrubbing was done, so debris built up on the pool walls and floor. The skimmer pots had very little water flow through them so I’m guessing that the sand filter probably hadn’t been backwashed in quite some time. Pool water temperature was uncomfortably warm (probably around 35C) but that may be typical in a small Costa Rican pool.This is not a maintenance item but more a livability issue: with 12 people in the main living area, the echo was terrible making conversations difficult at best. The weather was hotter than expected, so we couldn’t open the wall of doors to the outside which might have reduced the echo.

Our stay was absolutely incredible! The space was spotless, beautifully designed, and had everything we needed to feel right at home. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, from the comfortable bed to the well-stocked kitchen. The location was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

Although we were only able to stay a short time, we really enjoyed the property. The Amenities were really nice, and the residence was comfortable for our family of five. We really like Hacienda Pinilla and will be back soon.

Stunning full 5 bed house, appears brand new. Bathrooms are beautiful and with everything you need. Great communal areas, outside bbq and sink, nice sun loungers and gorgeous pool .
