The property was double booked and when we showed people were in there. Terrible communication and marketing

It was okay for clean. Its hard to clean old. It was just older than the pictures represented. There is no central air and heat. Its all window units. The house needs some caulking. When you can see outside from the door...I felt like doing the caulking myself. It was just a very old place and the pictures lied lied lied. I paid really good money for two nights. When you stay at a place, you expect it to be nicer and more comfortable. The rat trap under the couch was scary. The walk to Girard Park wasn't that bad, but there barely any sidewalks to navigate on. Dangerous walk to say the least. My 78yo Mother had to be watched constantly to keep her safe. There was a drain in front of the house with no cover. I felt crazy trying to constantly remind my Mom to not step close to it. The others too, but my Mom especially. It was okay to stay there....but I didnt expect it all to be the way it was. The bathroom was old and needs repair. Above the window in the bathroom definitely needed some attention. I was grateful to spend the time with my family - whom we rarely see...but they were like - where the hell are you making us stay?!? We have been making this trip to Lafayette for 8 years. We usually stay at a hotel. This was the first time we did a house. Not sure what next year will hold. Also - every bedroom in the house had a code locked door. Everytime my Mom closed her door...we had to look up the code and reopen the bedroom door. I get the reason. But that was a little crazy.

House was clean but not what I would normally consider up to my standards. It was an older house and because it has window units instead of central air, it smelled a little musty. The kitchen was not well stocked. We could not cook breakfast for all the kids with us because there was no baking sheet for biscuits nor a frying pan for eggs unless you counted the 6” sauté pan. The most unusual part was that ever bedroom had an interior combination lock (one of which didn’t work well). Overall though the house served its purpose and was roomy enough for 8.

We rented the house for one night. The owner responded to inquiries immediately. It was an older house, which was updated inside. The beds were super comfortable. The property is located in a run down area and we were unsure about it upon arrival. However, it was quiet and we had no issues. We would stay here again.
