4 star villa 800m away from the beach, in the middle of a 6 hectar private field

Absolutely fabulous villa in a beautiful and tranquil private position! All of the facilities in La Cabane are perfect especially in the lovely kitchen where every piece of equipment required is provided to a very high specification, along with a good selection of condiments, oils and spices etc that aren't normally available in rentals. Also coffee and teas, toilet and kitchen rolls, filtered water from the fridge, gas for the barbecue and towels for the bathroom and the beach.The host Patrick went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible. We have been renting many villas through VRBO (previously Owners Direct) for over 20 years and his communication was 100% the best we have ever had and La Cabane is one of the best properties we have stayed at.The journey to the beach is through a private gate and then along a very nice grass path through the fields where you just have to cross the coast road to access the sea. La Cabane was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back again!

It was a wonderful week. The house is spacious, extremely well equipped, built in very good quality.Nice atmosphere, a lot of personal things from traveling. The greatest part is the garden. It is huge and perfectly designed and cared for.A lot of fantastic trees. Nobody around and completely quiet It is a paradise to Relax Highly recommended We will come back

La Cabane is a lovely, very well equipped home. We visited with our son who is in a wheelchair and the property was very suitable for his needs. The outside dining and seating areas are excellent . The surrounding garden and extensive grounds are wonderful and so peaceful. Patrick was very helpful at the time of booking and when we first arrived, We thoroughly enjoyed a very relaxing stay.

The description shown on the website is very accurate and the booking process was simple. The property is terrific. Although the house can accommodate 8 people, we travelled as a couple with our 2 Labrador dogs. We chose the property because of the description and reviews. We were not disappointed, the house is very well equipped and has a massive garden which our dog’s loved. We felt comfortable that they were safe even when out of sight. The location is also very good, 10 minutes from the nearest supermarket in St Pierre and 10 minutes walk to the nearest beach. Trips to places like Rochefort and La Rochelle are also within easy reach. The owner Patrick, visited us on the mid Saturday to ensure that all was well. He speaks good English so any Brits should feel comfortable. In summary, a great rental which suited us perfectly and I would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful holiday in a modern, well equipped house.

We had a wonderful time in La Cabane. The house is perfectly equipped, all you need is available and it is also comfortable. The terraces, the garden and the area are absolutely amazing! You have the feeling you are alone on this part of the island and the silence is unique!

This is a lovely property and I highly recommend it. We were 2x families of 4 and found it very spacious. The kichen was fully equipped with plenty of large pots and pans to cook for 8. The terrace was very spacious and enough space outside for games or sunbathing - so much more land than we expected. It is very peaceful and only a 10 minute walk to the local beach. There are two shops in the village where you can get your fresh bread in the morning and it is only 10 minutes drive from St Pierre D'Oleron to the supermarket. The village is perfectly situated to visit La Cotiniere and a the other beaches on the west coast, particularly La Perroche which is a lovely cove and safe to use kayaks and inflatables. If you want a bit of excitement then head for La Grande Plage, a great beach for bodyboarding and surfers - the waves are high and provide hours of fun. The island of Oleron is a relaxing place to be with plenty of places to eat. No where is more than a 20 minute drive so it's lovely to eat out in different places. Fresh fish is in abundance and very reasonable compared to the UK! We had such a great fortnight we felt that we'd been there longer. We would definitely return to this property in the future.
