Stayed Jan 8, 2026We're pretty easy to please with rentals and have used Vrbo many times including the Galveston area. This house could be amazing but a lot of small things definitely took away from the experience and gave a more neglected feel.Some examples include peeling paint, a LOT of hair covering all 3 walls of the shower, the water filter in refrigerator was 99% overdo from being replaced, and the outdoor sink to clean fish had a coating that was peeling so badly I would not want to use it (just remove the coating).

Stayed Sep 25, 2025The overall experience was satisfactory at best. Access to downtown was also good however, there are several discrepancies which we had never before experienced at a Galveston rental location. The home was not very well maintained nor well cleaned. We noticed a few roaches and roach droppings which indicated lack of attention to details. Secondly, several of the light lamps lacked access to pwr outlets and a few overhead lights did not function. The ceiling fans were especially dirty. We will return to Galveston but will likely see another location.

Stayed Jul 12, 2024We rented the home for my bachelor party. We had an amazing time. The communication was really good. Our reservation was for the weekend right after Hurricane Beryl hit the island. We were nervous that we would have to cancel the trip since most of the island was still without power, including this home (we drove over and checked). The owner stayed in communication with us and we decided to move forward with the trip. As providence would have it, the power came back on less than an hour after we checked in and stayed on all weekend. We caught fish off the back dock, and had everything we needed all weekend. Highly recommend! Thanks for a wonderful time!
