4 Mi to Dtwn Truckee: Tahoe Donner Home w/ Hot Tub

The house is in a nice location, and is generally in good condition. The advertisement says it sleeps 9, however the bedding was only available for 6 people, the rest was locked away in an accessible closet and when I called the emergency host and told her that several of us have no bedding, she told us to turn up the heat and that was it. The post said there are amenities for extra charge, but there was nothing in the master bath except dishwashing liquid poured into a handsoap bottle. The post also says to throw the Used towels and bedding into the washing machine, which I did however there’s no laundry detergent anywhere in the house so it makes me wonder how long those sheets have been getting washed with no detergent. Also, when I got there, the ceiling fan in the master bedroom was on and the remote control to turn it off had a dead battery. There were no extra batteries that matched but luckily I found one in a different remote in the house otherwise it would be pretty cold to sleep in the winter with the running ceiling fan.

We spent a few days at this gorgeous house close to Donner Lake and I couldn't recommend it enough! The location is ideal (only a quick drive to the lake), so it's perfect for either a beach day of relaxation or a water adventure. The neighborhood is very peaceful. The home itself is cozy and perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking for a quiet retreat in the middle of nature. Donner Lake is truly such a gem, looking forward to going back!

The house is great and great location for out skiing location and town.The only thing we had issues with is the floor looked like they did not sweep it at least they did not do a very good job of it and the garbage bag/ can were full but the bag was tied so I think they thought about it. the Hot tub cover was very very heavy to lift. but our friends it was very nice once you get the cover up. there was also a beer out there and a opener out there on the step. last thing which I thought was the bigger problem is top blanket or bed spread was dirty and hair all over it. My wife just said the sheet in the master bed room has a tear in it right by the fitted part of the sheet. So I just think the house keepers need a talking to.Put again the house was it self was great we would consider renting next year.Greg

We had the best stay at this wonderful home over the holidays. The house itself is in pristine condition, with the highlight being the massive master suite! What a luxury. Yet, it is hard to chose as this entire home is appointed so well. The kitchen, the bathrooms, and the hot tub! For the kids, even during winter, the hot tub was the star of the show. They even had a christmas tree in the garage that we were able to put up and decorate for the stay! And it looked beautiful. Location wise, you really couldn't beat it either. So close to so many amenities. Being able to walk to the little community store, that was surprisingly stocked with so many great products was so helpful. The rec center and then the snow play area was perfect. As someone who grew up going to Truckee every year, many times, the location to the downtown was perfect as well. Only a 5 minute drive at most and you're straight downtown where we enjoyed all the shops and a great dinner at Moody's. We certainly cannot say enough about this house, it's a hidden gem. We plan to be back for sure, maybe next time in the summer since it's also so very close to Donner Lake.

This home is absolutely beautiful! From the large garage with ping pong table, full laundry set, enormous master bedroom and bathroom, second bedroom with 1/2 bathroom, upstairs bedroom plus full bath and loft has space for 2 people, spacious living room with beautiful fireplace, gorgeous views, large dining room and kitchen, wine bar, large refrigerator and freezer, large stove/oven, dishwasher and microwave, full amenities including hot tub. We love staying here with our family and friends. It’s extremely clean and well stocked. It’s gorgeous!!! We can’t wait to come back!

Had an absolute wonderful time here. Right in the heart of the snow and close to town! The house is very spacious with plenty of room for the entire family. The master bedroom was a dream. It was huge and had a big, comfy bed. The attached private bathroom exceeded any expectation I could’ve had. The shower was awesome, it was like a spa with 3 shower heads. I have to also shoutout the heated toilet seat! Also, right when you walk outside there is a hot tub! This house was so perfect and I will be staying here again!

I had an amazing experience staying at this cabin. It was so homey and gave the amazing Tahoe experience we were hoping for. Super close to the ski resort and close to the sledding hill. A quick drive also to downtown Truckee. We can’t wait to return and will definitely be staying at this cabin again.

I just had the most incredible stay at this 3-bedroom cabin in Truckee, and I can’t rave about it enough! From start to finish, this place exceeded all our expectations.One of the standout features of this cabin is its unbeatable proximity to everything. It’s just a short, pleasant walk to the member pool. A very short drive to Donner Lake, with private beach access! And a beautiful drive over the hill to Lake Tahoe. Whether it was a morning swim, an afternoon lounging by the shore, or a sunset view, having such easy access was a huge plus. Inside, the cabin is a true gem. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care has gone into making this place both stylish and comfortable. The modern updates and tasteful decor give it a fresh, contemporary feel while still maintaining that cozy cabin charm. The open-concept living area, well-equipped kitchen, and beautifully furnished bedrooms made it perfect for relaxing or hosting friends and family.The cabin is set in a lovely, serene neighborhood that perfectly complements its beauty. The scenic surroundings and well-maintained area created a peaceful setting while lounging on the deck out front or relaxing in the hot tub out back. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful and tranquil environment to unwind in. Overall, this cabin is everything you could want for a Tahoe vacation. Its fantastic location near the lake, gorgeous interior, and beautiful neighborhood make it a top-notch choice. I left feeling completely refreshed and already can’t wait to come back!

Our family stayed here on more than one occasion, and it was great! It has everything you could possibly need. A perfect place to bring your family! The primary bedroom is huge, and it feels like its own getaway overlooking the trees. The loft is also awesome for kids to hang out. The kitchen and family area is spacious, and it’s so fun to all spend time together. I highly recommend staying here!

We had a nice stay here. The house is in great condition, very close (1 minute drive) to the rec center, golf course and coffee shop, as well as less than 5 minutes from the downhill ski resort. The hot tub was great for after skiing and is directly outside the master bedroom which was convenient. We didn’t use it, but there is an upstairs bathroom, bedroom and sitting room. If you had two groups of ppl they would be in separate parts of the house which is a nice feature. I was on zoom calls for work and the WiFi worked very well. One of the better WiFi experiences I’ve had while traveling. Would definitely stay here again, no issues at all
