Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a lovely stay in the cottage. Beds are super comfortable. And the coastal path is literally at the bottom of the garden. Fab long garden really suitable for families with children who need to run. My boys would have loved to stay and use the expanse of the garden and run along the coastal path. Local shops just across the road.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The fuse box tripped when using the cooker. I alerted Norfolk Hideaways to unscheduled building works next door that was causing a great deal of noise. I wanted to know how long this work would go on for. They said they would call me back when they had spoken with the owner. They didn’t. The bed in the main bedroom contained sand between the bedsheets. The heating is WiFi controlled by the owner with radiators set at 22 degrees. That’s a little too hot. That said the radiator in the main bedroom did not work or had been in improperly programmed. But the property was so warm that opening the bedroom door was all it took to warm up. Some people like heavy duvets - I don’t. It’s a personal preference but the result of having to sleep under one meant that I got very hot even with the window open in winter. That said, the property was generally okay and well equipped and positioned. It says it’s for 6 max but I would suggest the living area is too small for 6 adults to feel comfortable. The property serves a purpose and was cheaper than staying in an hotel. Would I return to this property? I don’t normally return to holiday properties but if I had limited choice then May be I would given it’s location - although in summer I reckon the road would be very noisey. I would at least know what to expect and be prepared.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The cottage is in a nice location with spectacular views of the marshes from upstairs & only a few yards to walk to the White Horse. There's off road parking for 1 car on the small drive. Cottage very clean & warm apart from the kitchen which has no heating. Kitchen well equipped. Seating for 5 in the lounge but 6 would be a struggle. Dining room adequate size with marsh views. Downsides: No mattress protectors. Only 1 toilet roll provided so had to buy some more. No welcome pack. No fire wood starter pack but there was some coal. No White Horse discount vouchers as mentioned by other reviews in the guest book-but that's maybe the pub not doing them anymore? But we had a great weekend & the downsides are only minor points.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Great location, clean and generally well presented. Very uncomfortable and dated lounge seating. Having to take own towels is also a bit dated.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Great house, ideal for a family of 2 adults and 4 children. Living space slightly tight but it is fine as we were out and about and the weather was good. The outside Loo was great as only one loo in the house! Ideal holiday house and easy walk to the shops and the pubs.

Stayed Dec 31, 19695 Harbour view is a lovely coastal cottage with direct access onto the coastal paths of Brancaster Staithe. Bed's are comfy and kitchen and cupboards are well stocked. We stayed for 5 nights with our three small children and had a lovely time. There is a great supermarket attached to the local garage (5 minutes walk), a shop in the middle of the village selling fresh fish and vegetables (5 minutes walk), locations for crab fishing (10 minutes walk) and an excellent pub, the Jolly Sailors (10 minutes walk) where they had a group of people singing shanties on our first night... What more called you want?

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The house was lovely, very comfortable and well equipped with a lovely garden and magnificent sea views. The access to the coast path from the bottom of the garden was great and the walking and birdwatching was fabulous. There are plenty of really good options for food, several within walking distance and also a well stocked mini mart. The Coasthopper bus stop is a couple of minutes walk away and lets you leave the car at home though most attractions are within a short car drive. The only downside was the parking. Access to the drive is very narrow due to the gateposts and manoeuvring in and out was a somewhat risky process. This could be much improved by removal of two of the gateposts which serve no purpose.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969As a couple, we have visited North Norfolk many times over the years; however, this was our first trip with our daughter and her family (hubby plus 2 grandchildren, ages 4 and 10 months) and we were anxious they would love it as much as we do. We needn't have worried. From the moment we arrived at 4 Harbour View we knew we were in for a great stay. The house itself was easy to locate (thanks to good directions from Norfolk Hideaways and a bit of Google maps research) and despite arriving in the dark, the house was warm and inviting. We quickly settled in with our eldest grandson leading the way to look around. What we found was all very well equipped, clean and certainly large enough for the 6 of us. As per my request, the travelcot for the baby had been put up in the larger front bedroom, making bedtime so much easier for my daughter. The open fire in the lounge was an instant hit with everyone especially as enough fuel had been left for our first night's fire, thankyou! Daylight enabled us to see just what a fabulous location we were in. Being birdwatchers, we appreciated the easy access to the coastal path and the marshes although we also made use of the velux window in the attic bedroom when it was a bit too cold outside! The cottage's central location on the north coast made it ideal for exploring the local area, with Snettisham just 30 minutes to the west and Cromer and hour to the west. The comments books were read and much appreciated; the only comment we made was regarding the oven - which was similar to one my daughter had so getting it to work wasn't an issue. However, perhaps the inclusion of the manual may help those visitors who may be unfamiliar with its operations? (The oven will not operate unless the clock has been set and that wasn't made clear in the otherwise comprehensive household instruction folder). Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Harbour View and I would gladly book it again and recommend it to friends. many thanks to the owners and Norfolk Hideaways
