4 bedroom house with private pool

We loved this house and the region - from the moment we arrived to be met by the owner's daughter and husband and the gorgeous Tutti, the golden retriever, to the last moments saying goodbye to the gracious owner Renato we had the most idyllic holiday. The house is an architectural gem with light flooding every space and allowing easy access to the gorgeous pool and sunbathing area and garden - we even had garage door envy! It is very secluded but close enough to lovely local villages and towns with amazing restaurants - we are already planning to come back as we loved it so much - you will too!

We had a delightful stay in this wonderful place. The house has very spacious and large volumes, amazing light and is perfectly adapted to give all the inhabitants privacy and comfort. An architectural dream. The house is set in an extensive garden-parkland and has a very beautiful swimming pool. The views from both within the house towards the garden as from the garden are amazing. All is peace and quiet here, we can fully recommend this house.

Great experience. Looking for an intimate communion with nature surrounded by beautiful vistas? This is the place. And Renato (the host) was readily available for any help necessary.

We are a family of 8 people, everybody enjoyed a marvelous week. The house is fantastic, it has all amenities a family of this size may need for a comfort stay in the countryside, from equipment, areas to play outside, excellent swimming pool and inside space. We loved waking up in the morning, seeing the natural light coming in from all the windows, hearing the birds, breathing the pure air and stroll around in the property. The interior decoration is modern, the house is very spacious and we discovered a bit each day, either by the available literature or just sitting in the main living room window, facing the pool, watching the landscape. The outside table that fits 8 people is sheltered, which means you can avoid sun and wind. If this was not enough, Renato, the owner, will do everything he can to make sure you have the most enjoyable stay. Thank you Renato! We know several properties around Portugal and I can say this is one of the best we have been. We will definitely come back in the near future. This is a wonderful property in a rural setting and we had a fantastic stay. The house is beautiful, with lots of light, very comfortable and well equipped. The outdoor area has a big swimming pool, a huge backyard surrounded by trees and beautiful views. Renato is a very welcoming and thoughtful host, always making sure we had everything we needed for a great holiday. We highly recommend this property and for sure we will come back!

In all fairness I must mention the noisy nieghbours. The nearest nieghbours were about 100 metres away but made a tremendous racket with motorbikes, buzz saws and hammering. The local villagers played loud music, beat drums and let off fireworks that would rival an artillery barrage, and set off all the dogs for miles around. On the plus side the local supermarket sold excellent meat and vegetables at incredibly low prices and the whole area was remarkably good value by British standards. We greatly enjoyed a visit to the Douro valley with a private guide called Roberto Mendes (highly recommended). We had good weather most of the time though the first weekend was surprisingly cold.

The house has a super nice location and the view is magnificent. Everything is very neat, well maintained, great beds and plenty of crockery and glasses. There are air mattresses available for yourself in the beautiful swimming pool. The host gave us a very warm welcome and left himself a nice welcome basket. In short, this address is recommended and we hope to come back again!

Renato was a welcoming host who after showing us the house gave us complete privacy for the week. We had an amazing holiday and would go back in a heart beat. Can’t recommend this place enough. A true gem Kevin Patience

As two couples, each with a 6 year old child, we absolutely loved our stay at Renato’s house. He was a great host and the house is very clean and well equipped. We enjoyed a very hot, sunny week with complete privacy out in the countryside ... we didn’t feel like going far but enjoyed a trip into the Douro Valley whilst there and a stay in Porto before arrival and Guimareas before flying home. An ideal break, especially for us discerning architects! We will be back one day!
