We love this house!! This was our third ski season renting. It’s always clean. Had enough room for 5 college kids and 2 adults. Close enough to the slopes to come home for lunch. Communication with the owner is always prompt. Hope to be back again.

Great location, very cozy, comfy home and close to Wintergreen Resort and restaurants. My husband and I booked this for a long weekend with our two dogs and loved our stay. The house is very comfortable, nicely appointed, well maintained and we loved the year round Christmas tree!

This property met our needs well. We specifically needed limited steps for one older family member and pet friendly. The property is as advertised and there is excellent communication from the host. Beds have about a 3-inch foam topper, so for us, comfortable. There were clumps of dog hair in various places in the main room, so the house could use a good deep cleaning. That said, we very much appreciated the property being pet friendly, and hope when we swept the floor before leaving it was cleaner for the next guests. Other than coffee (used the single brew feature - bring your own k-cups) and cereal, in the morning, we did not spend much time in the kitchen, so I cannot speak to what it has to offer for cooking. Yes, there is no dishwasher, but not a problem for us. The property is located on a cul de sac, on a wooded lot. There are neighbors, but you get a sense of peacefulness - especially mid-week, Tues to Fri, when we were there. We could tell car activity increased on Thurs evening, so assuming people were arriving for a long weekend. Wintergreen itself has many trails, and you have access to the Blue Ridge Parkway at the top of the mountain. Easy access. There are a number of restaurants within Wintergreen, and we especially enjoyed The Edge, with its view of the ski slope and mountain vistas. Wintergreen offers quite a few pullouts on their roads for beautiful views, and I recommend exploring Wintergreen itself for those viewing areas. We would def stay here again.

Overall it was a cozy peaceful stay. Beds were soft and comfortable. Four adults and two older teens - plenty of space. Enjoyed walking to nearby overlook. We did not use any resort amenities, rather, traveled to find adventures. House was clean but you could tell it was a pet friendly house. It could use a deeper cleaning. Pet hair and dust in many areas. Some nice additions would include a dishwasher, better patio furniture, better lighting (it often felt dark). We had a very nice stay and enjoyed the beautiful mountains of VA.

Five ladies gathered together for three days on the mountain. This home was absolutely perfect for us! We enjoyed our morning coffee in the covered porch, listening to the birds. We enjoyed multiple meals at the large table, and numerous hours reclined in the living room. I would comment on the trails and scenery, but to be honest, we never left the house, it had everything we needed. We left refreshed and planning our next return. Our hostess was absolutely lovely. If you are looking for a perfect getaway, look no further, you found it.

Nice cabin. Overall enjoyed our stay. Shockingly peaceful, quiet environment away from all the city noises and other traffic/road noises that sometimes can be heard when staying in the woods or forest. Cabin worked well for our group of two couples, one single adult and an infant. The screen porch was wonderful; can seat 8 comfortably. Kitchen is small but well stocked with a hodge podge of items. The smallness makes it difficult for more than two to work. Nice large over/under fridge/freezer. No place to store non-perishable foods. Nice to have the disposal; miss a dishwasher. Loved the wonderful dining table that eight can sit at. The table’s chairs are extremely heavy making them difficult to slide on the rug under the table. Large propane grill worked well. It has a wonderful side grate on which veggies can be cooked. Beds had plain 3”foam pads on top of the mattresses; made the beds very soft. Bathroom towels/wash clothes were just okay; like hand-me-downs. Some bedroom windows were missing screens so couldn’t leave open at night while sleeping. Host was very good communicator. Responded quickly to my questions.

Three girlfriends and I stayed here for a quick getaway week. We loved the quiet and nature of the Wintergreen area. The house was plenty big enough for our group. The home is an older property and has some signs of its age, but that didn’t bother us any. The beds were very comfortable! While the kitchen is smaller and the drawers are a bit clunky, it fit our needs. I would stay here again for a short trip to the area.

Minutes to the main lodge and 15min down to breweries and wineries. 5min walk to two gorgeous overlooks up the street and down the street. The house had everything we needed for a family of seven! Would love to come back again.

Our weekend getaway was perfect! The house was even better than described. The dogs loved it and the location was perfect for all the breweries on 151. Right in a quiet part of Wintergreen, the views were awesome without there being any leaves on the trees. I am definitely keeping this house in mind for any mountain vacations in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay here and it definitely had everything we needed. I will say that the beds are soft so if that’s not your cup of tea, this might not be for you. For the price it met our needs. It’s very close to the ski area and parking was easy. They had a baby gate for us but we couldn’t figure out how to use it. Lots of games for kids and dvds.

Beautiful cabin hidden away above Wintergreen Resort (3min drive to slopes). Perfect for my family of 5 and a couple teenage boys having ski/snowboard getaway. Comfy beds, all the kitchen utensils you need, lots of board games, and great view of the sunrise in the winter morning. The host Angela is great and ensured we had a great stay. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for my daughter's wedding weekend in early October. The cabin is older but was comfortable and clean. The kitchen is outdated, and doesn't have a dishwasher so keep that in mind. I had not paid attention to that detail in the listing, otherwise I would have brought paper plates/plastic utensils. I ended up hand washing a large amount of dishes after the groom/groomsmen came for breakfast on wedding day. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were very clean. Location was very convenient as it was close to the main Wintergreen lodge and to the little market. Note: The owner agreed to let us bring our German Shepherd (I asked as he's a large breed). He was crated anytime we were gone and I vacuumed before we left. The owner contacted me a week after our stay to say that the housekeeper had charged her $100 for excessive dog fur and asked if I would pay the cost. I was willing to do so, but I asked to see a receipt or pictures. Owner was unable to provide proof, or even tell me where excess dog fur was found. Because of that, I didn't pay her. I don't write this as being negative toward the owner and it's possible that I missed some fur when vacuuming (pet fee should cover that). She was very kind in her communication with me. I just wanted proof as I had made a point to ensure that the property was left the same way as when we arrived. Perhaps the housecleaner was out to make an extra $100? Overall, it was a pleasant stay! was left as we
