This was a great house and the location was so convenient to the mall, restaurants and the Lake. Marion was easy to work with, always responded in a timely manner when I had questions. The kitchen was equipped with everything you would need to cook and the fire pit in the backyard was a plus!

The house was very clean. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, spices and dishes. The included front porch was nice.

While the house itself is quite old (apparently built in the 1800's?), a lot of thought and effort has gone into making it both rentable and livable. For the basics: it is very clean, there is a full and fully stocked kitchen in which we could easily cook dinner, and the house is in a great location and within walking distance of outlet mall / the downtown area / the 11th Street South Shore station. Bedrooms are small but still large enough for two people, each, but there were too-few places to unpack luggage; a luggage rack would help but there are plenty of chairs to otherwise commandeer for a few days' visit. The bathrooms function well with walk-in showers and ample water pressure. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the backyard or fire pit but did enjoy the front porch. The living spaces were well-furnished and comfortable. We would certainly return and rent here again for even longer!

We couldn't believe how close to the Light House outlet mall it was. We were also able to walk to our favorite restaurant Fiddleheads. This is a beautiful older restored house with modern amenities. Our host was very responsive to any questions. We enjoyed breakfast on the enclosed front porch. It was well stocked and maintained. The only thing missing was a full length mirror which would have been handy when trying on new outfits. We are considering making this an annual stop.

Everything about this house met our needs wonderfully. We especially loved the porch so we could relax at the end of the day! Would recommend this house to everyone!

The home is large, single story. In neighborhood of big older homes. Well maintained with newer bathrooms and appliances. Wood floors have been neatly preserved. About 100 steps to large outlet mall and 2 blocks to Franklin street stores and restaurants. Walk to beach about 20 minutes so we drove. There are 2 living rooms, a front room w table and chairs and an eat-in kitchen seating 6. The deck off kitchen has seating for 5 and the large backyard has a fire pit and seating area. Great for 6-8 people. Plenty of parking in front on street. There are restaurants and coffee shops within 2-3 blocks and many more within 2 miles.

Charming home with enough space for our family. Built in the 1880s, this home had so much character and fit right in to the history of Michigan City! A great find.

My sisters and I stayed at your property last year and we enjoyed the house and location so we chose to stay there again this year. We were very pleased to learn everything was as we expected except there was no iron or ironing board as indicated on line. Also, check out time on line is listed as 11:00, but in your welcome book it’s noted as 10:00. These are not major issues but they were relevant to us.

Cute, clean, comfy house that was the perfect venue for our sisters and mom weekend. The house is walking distance to the outlet mall and a short drive to restaurants and wineries. Great communication with host. We’ll stay again.

This rental was perfect for our weekend with friends. We are two couples over 50 and needed a place that was close enough for the drive to the Notre Dame game. We checked in on Friday and quickly realized how close we were to all conveniences. A 3 minute drive to a great meal at Shoreline Brewery and then walk to almost any place else we needed to go. A 3-minute walk to LakeShore cafe for coffee and breakfast! The home was perfectly sized for our group. The seating was comfortable and plentiful. We love have coffee and sharing conversation at the kitchen table. The firepit outside was a nice touch! The bathrooms were clean and updated. We loved looking at all the decor and reading through the book about the history of the town. Communication with the host was easy, although we didn't need anything, and the check in/out process was a breeze! Love it here!

My husband and I and another couple stayed at this great little house the beginning of October. We couldn't have asked for a greater space to meet. The beds were super comfy, the house was very clean and the kitchen was great for cooking and sitting around the table catching up. The Outlet Mall was literally a block away and though we didn't shop, we did use the Mall for an evening walk because it wasn't busy. We would highly recommend visiting the Barker Mansion which is also in walking distance. The staff there were so knowledgeable and made the visit very interesting. We will definitely stay here again if it is available when we return to Michigan City.
