Beautiful home! Wonderful location within walking distance of everything. This is our 5th year in a row staying here and we plan to come again. I highly recommend this home.

Great house with everything you need for a stay. Walked to Monterrey Aquarium & restaurant. Beautifully & thoughtfully renovated with modern conveniences while keeping the character of the house.

They are not kidding about the parking… it’s a bit rough because cars are much larger than when the house was built. Also, the stairs to the top are EXTREMELY steep. I would not let a young child or an elderly person sleep up there. It’s an amazing property when with so many things so close by.

Location! Walk down to Livers Point to see a beautiful sunrise or walk to the midweek farmers market for some vegetables and live music. A shop rt drive to the aquarium, Carmel or point Lobos. The house was comfortable for parents and two grown children with a well appointed kitchen. Pleasant quiet neighborhood and comfortable beds, this house was a great launching point and nice place to return at the end of the day.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Despite crazy storms and unpredictable power outages we enjoyed our time in The Lavender House. Sanctuary communicated as best they could when the power went out and offered emergency supplies. PG&E is notorious for poor updates! A gracious neighbor gave us matches to light the gas stove on Christmas morning when there was no power. By late afternoon the power was back and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our Christmas dinner. The location can't be beat! It's 2 blocks from the shops and restaurants on Lighthouse and less than 10 minute walk to the ocean. A slightly more ambitious walk to the Aquarium, but it many ways you don't need a car once you're there. House was clean and well cared for and had lots of fun 1900's features while still having wifi, TV, dishwasher. Everything we needed plus a welcome tray of wine, cheese, crackers, and chocolate that we didn't expect. Only small dings would be the view of an apartment parking lot from the front and lack of kleenex and matches.

Wonderful location. Walking distance to great restaurants in DT Pacific Grove. Great running/walking/bike paths along the ocean 5-10 minutes from the front door. House was super clean with excellent signage on how everything operated. Great character with flashbacks to a vintage home yet modernized. Yard and outside seating also good.

We loved staying at the Lavender House. Everything inside and around the house was clean and charming. My 2 year old son loved playing in the backyard, which was pretty much fully fenced in. The house is walking distance to Lover's Point, and amazing coffee shops, restaurants, and cocktail bars. We are already planning our return! The only thing I didn't like was the 4:00 p.m. check-in and 10:00 a.m. check-out times, which struck me as usually late/early.

Everything about our stay was easy. Walking distance to restaurants and the water, easy. Getting into the house, easy. TV operation, easy. Walking the dog and the smiling neighbors, easy. My teenagers loved the loft on the 3rd floor. Beds are comfortable and no stripping the beds, doing dishes or excessive cleaning up before checking out. Easy. Highly recommend.

Close to the beach and stores

Lovely place…walking distance to beach and shops and restaurants…the only down fall is we wish we had more time

We enjoyed a lovely time in the purple house as my grand-daughter called it. Family friendly and close to many activities.

A beautiful home in a great location! This is our 4th time staying here and we plan to keep coming back annually. You can walk everywhere!

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our spring break vacation. Wish we would’ve stayed longer here. The location is perfect! We walked everywhere. The house is very comfortable and had so much charm. It is an older home, so sound travels but that didn’t bother us. The bathtub is perfect for a nice soak after a day of walking. We loved our stay here and would come again.

We loved this rental so much. Easy to get to, excellent location, and well equipped. My daughters said they felt like it was living in a dollhouse!

Cute property and super cozy and comfortable for our brief family getaway. Easy walk to downtown Pacific Grove and a short drive to everything else in the area. Well appointed and well managed.

House was cute and comfortable BUT please leave a smidgen of cooking supplies. There was only salt and pepper and the salt was almost gone. Come on!

We enjoyed our short stay in the lavender house. My daughter especially loved the upstairs loft area. I also received a sweet birthday welcome gift! Walking distance to town and great restaurants. The backyard is a cute place to hang out when it is a little warmer out.

I took my teenage kids and their two friends. They all commented on how “aesthetic” the lavender house was. Very charming and located in a great central part of PG.

Good location for easy access to water front and town. Provisions at house were great including welcoming wine.

What a lovely stay. Beautiful 1902 built home secluded right off the main drag of Pacific Grove. All the amenities of a modern home with the historic touches that make this property so unique. Terrific hosts with great communication. We were sad to leave and can’t wait to come back.

This was such a cute little house. I have to give big props for the comfortable bed and bedding! I would suggest adding a cutting board and possibly a few more fans for women of a certain age (We did use the one fan we found! Thanks!), but that’s just me being nitpicky. We loved everything else. The china was so fun. The big bathtub. The cute loft! We loved this little charming house. The decor was really lovely. We had a nice dinner and played games at the table. Deer walked down the street like a Disney wonderland. :). Great place!

This place had everything we needed for our stay and the touches such as complimentary bottle of wine and cheese made us feel very welcome and comfortable.

Super charming Victorian cottage with beautiful stained glass windows and many period details. Lots of little amenities let you know the hosts really care. Great walkable location to coffee, restos and beach/ocean boulevard. Those traveling w littles or olds should know the stairs are steep and bedrooms authentically narrow. Third floor loft a bonus for older kids or makeshift office.

There is far more room than it might appear from the outside and the entire home has been renovated in a period friendly way. Gorgeous. It has mot everything you could need or want in the kitchen and tucked away in closets, drawers and the garage is everything else. Trust me. It has everything you have at home and maybe more. The owners called to be sure we had everything we needed and when the block’s electricity went out, they called with info and brought flashlight. All that and it’s walkable to the beach. You can see the beach from the top level. Restaurants and shops are a block away.

Such a pretty house, loved the location and all the amenities (full kitchen, laundry, parking). Convenient and walkable to PG shops, restaurants and the beach trail. Would love to stay here again the next time we’re in the area!

Quaint antiqued-filled house with updated amenities. Teens enjoyed the third level room. The other 2 bedrooms were very comfortable and the bathrooms looked like a blast from the past with the claw foot tub and the upper box to flush the toilet (all worked great!) The property manager was kind and helpful if needed.
