Seeing all the wildlife in the ocean was amazing as well as walking/jogging along the ocean path daily. A 3 minute walk to Lovers Point Beach for a quick cool dip early morning was especially welcomed and beautiful. The lemon tree in the back yard was another very happy and unexpected surprise. Loaded with ripe lemons! So beautiful and bountiful! It was close to restaurants and grocery stores, parking in front of our house was never a problem, even on Labor Day.We could not have been happier in our month long stay next to the waters edge. Would book again.

We have just returned from our fourth January staying in this adorable yellow cottage and we love it. It is full of personality and the location is ideal for walking to town, to Lovers Point, or the gorgeous coastal trail in both directions! It isn’t huge and it isn’t fancy, but it is charming, for sure. Perfect for people who are not extra large, as some areas are rather tight. That said, we were perfectly happy and comfy and have booked it for 2025!

We had to send multiple texts and make multiple calls to draw their attention to the issues in the house. Many of our requests remained unresolved till the end of our stay. Unacceptable. Moving to Monterey Vacation Rentals.

For bikers, you can store your bicycles in the garage and ride down the alley to easily access bike trails. Things we especially loved about this home were the many windows, giving stellar views up and down the coast. The backyard was sunny and private. The house had some tiny, tight spots, but it worked well for us. We’ve already booked it for next year!

Reviewer Comments: Needed a change of scenery from several months in the same home office setup, and stay happened to coincide with horrible smoke from fires. Very happy to have a nearby escape for the month. On arrival, saw wildlife galore (deer, squirrels, harbor seals, and otters). Convenient 5-min walk to kayak rentals and beautiful Lovers Point park. Easy walk to both Cannery Row and Asilomar beach.Place was extremely comfortable and had everything you would need at home. Don't bother with the extras (e.g., binoculars, chairs, grill, towels, cooking stuff, picnic stuff, etc.). And very nice and clean. Loved it and will look to book again.

I could have stayed another month and spent my days staring out at the ocean. But it was extremely expensive for a rental in the condition it is in. Despite assurances on the Serenity website that the house has been thoroughly cleaned to Covid protection standards, the floor was so dirty it turned a mop (which I asked management to buy for me) black with each swipe; the towels were stained and old; the sheets were worn; the umbrella in the back yard was broken; there was so much dust under the beds, on a hardwood floor, that when I turned a fan on one night the room became a dust bowl; the dishes and silverware all had to pulled from the cupboards and washed (stained coffee cups, food on silverwear and a few plates, dirty pots); there were cigarette butts in the backyard; the sofa had stains; the walls were filthy; the toilet requires two visits from a plummer... You get the picture. For $7K, I spent more time cleaning and maintaining than enjoying. The management company did credit the cleaning fees, and offered to send cleaners in again (which we weren’t comfortable with mid-pandemic), but nobody called me, ever, to discuss my concerns. But oh, that view. And the house, has it been clean and kept up, was adorable.
